Wada Koretake is the first Shinbakufu/The Onryo target that players will need to take down in Assassin's Creed Shadows. To get to Wada Koretake, Naoe will first need to find his chief executioner in Amagasaki. The Killing Field quest is pretty straightforward, as you'll need to find and defeat the executioner to retrieve information on Wada Koretake's whereabouts. However, the location of the executioner isn't known, and it's up to players to follow a trail of clues to find them.

Where to Find the Executioner in the Killing Field Quest in AC Shadows

According to The Killing Field's objective clues in Assassin's Creed Shadows, the executioner is located somewhere in Amagasaki, in the Nanatsumatsu area. Although players can easily reach the town of Amagasaki, the Nanatsumatsu location isn't marked on the map, making it difficult to find the executioner.

Since the executioner is towards the west of Amagasaki, checking out one of the undiscovered locations in that area will be beneficial. Players can check out the exact location of the executioner in Nanatsumatsu on the map above. Once you get closer to the undiscovered location, it'll be revealed, and you can use the Eagle Vision to finally hone in on the executioner's location in the Killing Field quest.

Defeating Shindo Hiroshii The Executioner & Retrieving the Letter

After you arrive at Nanatsumatsu, you'll notice there's a planned execution of innocent civilians being conducted by Wada Koretake's chief executioner. In addition to the main target, there are also several enemies guarding the location, who could pose a problem.

So, the best course of action is to enter the area stealthily and slowly take out all the enemies surrounding the executioner. Feel free to use the trenches behind and around the executioner to sneak past him undetected and continue to clear the area of minor enemies.

Once all the enemies are eliminated, it's recommended that you sneak up to the executioner and try to assassinate him. Although it won't outright kill the target, it'll at least take two-thirds of the armor HP off him (depending on your hidden blade assassination damage level), making the fight a lot easier.

Once the executioner is taken care of, Naoe will receive a letter from his corpse sent by Wada Koretake, sharing his whereabouts with Shindo Hiroshii. This will also mark The Killing Field quest in Assassin's Creed Shadows as complete.
