How To Find Mitsumune & Retrieve His Statue In AC Shadows…

After forming an alliance with Kyonyo in Assassin's Creed Shadows, he sends off Naoe to look for his old warrior friend, Mitsumune, who's camped at Nunobiki falls in the Stolen Faith quest. However, convincing Mitsumune to join the fight will take some extra work as he requests Naoe to retrieve a statue for him that was stolen by bandits. So, the Stolen Faith quest will prove to be vital for Naoe in strengthening her allies before confronting Wada Koretake.

Where to Find Mitsumune in Stolen Faith Quest in Assassin's Creed Shadows

Players can find Mitsumune north of Amagasaki town up the trail leading to the Nunobiki Falls in the Stolen Faith quest of Assassin's Creed Shadows. Players should ride their horse/mount up the trail and use the Pathfinder feature to avoid getting off-track. After following the twisting and winding trails of Nakayama Peak, you'll stumble upon a camp with Mitsumune near the waterfall.

After talking to Mitsumune, he'll request Naoe to retrieve the statue of Shinran for him that was stolen by bandits. Only after bringing the statue to him will he join the cause and help in the fight against Wada Koretake.

Location of Toneyama Post Town & The Statue of Shinran in Stolen Faith Quest

To retrieve the Shinran statue for Mitsumune in the Stolen Faith quest, players will need to head east, through the Senri Hills, to reach the Toneyama Post Town in AC Shadows. After arriving at the location marked on the map above, you'll find yourself at the entrance to this hostile town that's crowded with enemies.

Although players can go inside swinging their sword at every enemy they see, the best approach here is to stealth assassinate as many enemies as you can first. While sticking to the rooftops, go further into the town and use Naoe's Eagle Vision ability to scan the area for any blue/objective dot.

Players will find the statue inside a small room toward the end of Toneyama Post Town. However, the room is guarded by several soldiers, including a large brute. After taking the enemies down, players will be able to pick up the Statue of Shinran.

Taking the Statue of Shinran Back to Mitsumune

After returning to Mitsumune, Naoe will hand over the statue to him. Although he'll be pleased with it, he'll be uncertain if his remaining men will be comfortable laying down their lives once again to go against Wada Koretake.

There's a dialog choice for Naoe when Mitsumune asks her if she's ready for the task. Players can either choose "I am Ready" or "I'm Uncertain," as both will have the same outcome. After the conversation with Mitsumune, he'll become an ally in the fight against Wada Koretake, marking the Stolen Faith quest in Assassin's Creed Shadows as complete.
