An Assassin's Creed Shadows fan has put together a cosplay of Naoe, earning praise from the community. Their cosplay reproduces the outfit the Assassin's Creed Shadows protagonist often appears wearing in promotional images.
Ubisoft has spiced up the iconic franchise by introducing two protagonists in Assassin's Creed Shadows. One is Yasuke, a samurai who served the warlord Oda Nobunaga. Living up to his title, he is a robust and powerful character who wears imposing black armor with gold and red details and wields a long katana. His counterpart is Naoe, a young ninja who wears lighter equipment but proves just as lethal on the battlefield. Now, one cosplayer has gone the extra mile, creating her own rendition of Naoe.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Disables Popular Feature
Ubisoft releases a small hotfix for Assassin's Creed Shadows that removes a popular feature that was just added to the game earlier in April.
On Reddit, user Tanukiicos shared an image of her Naoe cosplay. The photo shows her recreation of the deep blue robe worn by the Assassin's Creed Shadows character, including the iconic red sash. The cosplayer incorporated into the attire some kunai attached to her leg, and a katana that appears in the background, reproducing parts of the arsenal that the ninja uses during the game. The composition doesn't include the hood and mask, but it doesn't give up the iconic Hidden Blade, which, according to her Instagram post, is functional.

Players used the comments section to praise the cosplayer's work, highlighting the striking resemblance to the ninja's equipment. Other fans praised the realism of the Hidden Blade she used, although comments noted that it is on the right arm instead of the left, a trademark feature of the Order of Assassins. The legendary weapon became less prominent in the Assassin's Creed games as they began to explore a more action-oriented gameplay. However, with the introduction of a more traditional assassin, the Hidden Blade used by Naoe takes on a more significant role.
