Assassin's Creed Shadows constantly throws increasingly difficult enemies towards players, and surviving against them only becomes tougher. This aspect also prevents players from simply breezing past the main story, as quests require a certain character level before players can complete them. So, the only way to progress through the AC Shadows story is to quickly get XP and level up your character. Here are a few tips on how to do it.
Assassin's Creed Shadows: How To Do A Landing Roll (Sometimes Trophy)
Here's how to obtain a vital skill for Naoe that will help her survive falls from heights and unlock sometimes trophy in Assassin's Creed Shadows.
How to Level Up Fast in Assassin's Creed Shadows
There are several ways that players can get quick XP and level up fast in Assassin's Creed Shadows. These range from completing quests to simply just visiting new areas and provinces in the game. Let's discuss all the ways players can farm XP.
The max level cap in Assassin's Creed Shadows is 60, so getting XP quickly is as essential as completing the story.
Completing Contracts
As players progress through the game, they'll be able to purchase kakuregas (hideouts) in various villages and towns in AC Shadows. The newly unlocked kakuregas, including the one in your main Hideout, contain a little box that can be interacted with to reveal contracts.
These contracts act as mini-quests that send players out to assassinate particular enemies or liberal enemy camps. This activity rewards players with a minimum of 1000 XP per contract completed and also offers various materials as a reward, such as wood, silk, and iron sand.
Tending to Side Missions
There are tons of NPCs that Naoe and Yasuke can meet as they visit new settlements and towns in AC Shadows. Some of these locations will have NPCs that have an exclamation mark with a black background on their head. Talking to these NPC will often lead to unlocking new side quests that players can complete to quickly earn XP and level up fast.
Completing Side Activities
In addition to side quests, players can also find various side activities marked with an orange hexagon. There are a ton of these available across the whole map, and players can quickly complete them in succession to farm XP quickly. These activities include.
- Kofun
- Kata
- Horse Archery
- Shrine
- Temple
- Hidden Trails
- Kuji-Kiri
Clearing Castles & Forts
Castles and forts can take a while as there are tons of enemies patrolling them. However, just by killing off the Samurai Daisho and looting the legendary chests will grant players a significant XP boost. However, if you manage to kill other enemies, and activate the synchronization point on top of the pagodas, you'll have a lot of XP on your hands.
Visting Undiscovered Locations
If you're looking to head into combat and just want to earn XP, in addition to completing side activities, players can also simply travel to other locations and keep earning XP. Assassin's Creed Shadows has recreated Japan gloriously and getting XP while sightseeing to quickly evel up your character is a delight in itself.
