The first is Naoe, a female shinobi who utilizes traditional Assassin’s Creed stealth gameplay to avenge the murder of her family. Meanwhile, real-life historical figure Yasuke will be the second playable character in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, encouraging players to take a more straightforward approach by initiating combat more directly.
Excited gamers have gotten to see plenty of Assassin’s Creed Shadows over the past few months, with June's Ubisoft Forward 2024 livestream giving an extended look at the upcoming title’s gameplay. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is bringing in new and upgraded mechanics like breakable enemy armor that will expose an opponent’s weak spots during a prolonged sword fight, a more strategic parry system, and shadow-based stealth that will allow both Naoe and Yasuke to slip past their enemies and more easily move in for the kill.
There is a lot to look forward to in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and a handful of players will win the chance to star in the game themselves.
