Assassin's Creed Shadows: Kurai Eikyou Quest Walkthrough

"Kurai Eikyou" is a mid-to-late-game side quest that you will encounter in Assassin's Creed Shadows. This quest tasks Yasuke and Naoe with locating and defeating a small group of shadowy agents hidden throughout Yamato. Like many of the late-game side quests in AC Shadows, "Kurai Eikyou" provides players with several powerful rewards, including access to two locked skill upgrades. This guide will show you where to find the five Kurai Eikyou agents in Assassin's Creed Shadows.

All Kurai Eikyou Locations in AC Shadows

How to Start Kurai Eikyou:

"Kurai Eikyou" will become available in AC Shadows during the hunt for the Shinbakufu member named The Wise, which begins with "A Chance Encounter". During that mission, you'll speak with an NPC named Fuyu, who will inform you of the group that will make up "Kurai Eikyou." Once "A Chance Encounter" is complete, you'll find the Kurai Eikyou target wheel on the Objectives board.

The Katsuragi Agent	You can find the Katsuragi Agent during the "Restless Spirits" quest, which you'll need to complete to find The Wise. He is found at Gokenin Manor in Katsuragi, Yamato. You don't actually need to speak to the locals, as the sub-quest mentions. If you send a scout to survey Katsuragi, his location will be revealed. The Tsutsui Agent	The Tsutsui Agent is found in Koriyama Castle in northwestern Yamato. He is in the courtyard directly behind the actual castle tower. He is heavily protected by a wide range of enemies. If you are comfortable with combat, you can smash in and kill him with Yasuke. Otherwise, using Naoe to sneak through the window of his building may be the prudent course of action. Make sure to complete the Messenger's sub-quest at Koriyama Castle before leaving. The Blacksmith Agent	While the Messenger is revealed after killing the Tsutsui Agent, completing his sub-quest at Koriyama Castle reveals another target: The Blacksmith Agent. You can get more information on him by eavesdropping on two blacksmiths in Uda Town, Yamato. Ultimately, you'll have to head to Miyataki, at the eastern end of the river north of Yoshino. The Akiyama Agent	The Akiyama Agent is located in Uda Matsuyama Castle, in northeastern Yamato. Send a scout to the village and the location will be revealed. The Messenger	Once you've defeated the previous four agents, The Messenger's location will be much easier to reveal. He can be found meditating at the Kofukuji Temple in the Nara Heartland region of Yamato. The clues say that he only meditates at night, but we found him during the day, so that seems to not be the case. Kurai Eikyou FInal Rewards:

Once you've completed the entire list, return to Fuyu at the Oniwa Shrine in Yamato. It is located in the Nara Heartland. Once the mission is complete, you'll receive the following rewards:

Kunai Assassination Damage III - Upgrade to Kunai Assassination from Naoe's Tools skill tree.
Silent Arrows III - Upgrade to Silent Arrows from Yasuke's Bow skill tree.
