Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a big hit, according to its publisher Ubisoft. The title’s shorter storyline and more stealth-focused gameplay pleased some critics as Assassin’s Creed Mirage received positive reviews, and it seems that the game is doing well in sales, too.

Ever since its announcement back in 2022, Assassin’s Creed Mirage has been marketed as a return to the roots of the franchise. The game ditched the enormous worlds of the three previous titles and told a much more focused story with the assassin Basim Ibn Ishaq. With a vibe that resembled the first Assassin’s Creed and more focus on assassinations without several RPG elements, the game gained enough traction to be a major release.

Now, Ubisoft has revealed that Assassin’s Creed Mirage was a huge financial hit for the company. According to the publisher, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is Ubisoft’s biggest launch in terms of sales when considering solely PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. During the announcement, the company also revealed some interesting numbers about the first week of the game. For instance, players have spent 479 collective years so far parkouring the game city’s rooftops, performed 60 million Leaps of Faith, and have pet street cats 1.2 million times.

Due to the game’s success, it would be expected that Ubisoft would want to cash in with more DLCs. However, at the moment, despite a few minor DLCs being available, no major expansions are expected for Mirage. What will be coming up soon is an iPhone 15 Pro port for Assassin’s Creed Mirage. This port marks the first time that a main entry in the series will be ported to Mobile and, if it follows the current trend, it will probably continue to sell well in this new platform.

Ubisoft also has several other Assassin’s Creed-related projects in the works. Apart from the mysterious Assassin’s Creed Infinity, a hub in which gamers will be able to access different titles in the franchise, there are other four projects in development: Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR, AC Red, AC Hexe, and AC Jade. While Nexus VR will mark the first time that the famous franchise enters VR territory, Red and Jade are the codenames for projects that will feature new stories based in Japan and China, respectively. Among these projects, the most mysterious one is Assassin’s Creed Hexe, which doesn’t have a lot of information about it, but it’s theorized to focus on witches and will be set in Europe.

Assassin's Creed Mirage is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. An iPhone 15 Pro port is slated for early 2024.
