Assassin's Creed Mirage is officially coming to Steam on October 17, Ubisoft has confirmed in a new post on the platform. The studio had previously announced it would be bringing many of its new releases back to Steam on day one and is now working on bringing older titles, such as Assassin's Creed Mirage, to the platform.
Back in September, Ubisoft gave fans the disappointing news that Assassin's Creed Shadows had been delayed. The next installment in the franchise is set to take players to the highly-requested location of feudal Japan and was originally set to release on November 15 but will now be released on February 14, 2025, as Ubisoft has allocated "additional time to further polish the title." Although the studio noted that the game is "feature complete," it highlighted the disappointing release of Star Wars Outlaws as the main reason for the delay.
With rumors suggesting that Ubisoft is ramping up the Assassin's Creed releases in the coming years, there's never been a better time to be a fan of the franchise. For those who didn't have the opportunity to check out the series' most recent entry, Assassin's Creed Mirage, the studio has now confirmed that the popular title will now be released on Steam on October 17. There's currently no confirmed price for Assassin's Creed Mirage on Steam, but for those wanting to experience Basim's adventure through 9th Century Baghdad at 4K with a solid 60 FPS and maxed-out graphical settings, the official system requirements note that users will need a GeForce 3080 10GB or AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT 16GB along with an Intel Core i5-11600K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X.
As for achievements, Ubisoft says players will be able to earn up to 50 achievements in Assassin's Creed Mirage. These will range from completing missions or ranking up, to more specific actions. This is good news for fans, as previous Ubisoft titles have been known to launch on Steam without achievements. Despite launching on the platform in 2022, Assassin's Creed Valhalla was only just updated with Steam achievements earlier this month. There are now 92 different achievements for players to unlock in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, all of which will be automatically unlocked for players who have already completed the accompanying tasks.
