A popular racing game most commonly found on Mobile and Switch, Asphalt 9: Legends can also be played on Xbox and PC. It features 100+ cars for racers to test their skill on the track. Combined with a large upgrade and tuning system, there is plenty of content to keep players coming back for more.
But where should new racers start amongst the millions of more experienced players? In this game, everyone starts with the D-Class of vehicles. These tend to be the slowest and easiest to handle, so they make a good introduction to the game's controls. But since many players want to get right to winning races, they'll need one of the best D-Class cars in Asphalt 9: Legends to get going.

As players dive into the game, they will get started in D-Class, and they will find that there should be roughly 15 cars at their disposal. It should be noted that this catalog is updated regularly, with some vehicles being attached to events. Which are the most complete D-Class cars in Asphalt 9: Legends? Although it does not look too impressive on the surface, the E-Tense is a great entry-level car that should take D-Class players quite far in Asphalt 9: Legends. Its top speed is admittedly nothing to write home about, however, the E-Tense more than delivers in the other departments, and it becomes quite a well-rounded beast when fully upgraded.
This is one of those cars that can be used for most track types and the player will not feel like they are at a disadvantage.

The TVR Griffith is the fastest vehicle in the D-Class lineup. It tops out at 322 km/h at stock, and 338.7 km/h when it's been upgraded to max stats. For comparison, the average top speed for D-Class cars is 267.83 km/h at stock and 288.03 km/h when maxed. This vehicle packs quite a bit of raw power.
Unfortunately, speed is all the TVR Griffith has to offer. It may be difficult for new players to keep under control unless they have previous experience with similar racing games. The only other stat above average is the acceleration at the stock level. Once players fully upgrade the vehicle, the acceleration dips below average as well. Consequently, the TVR should be left solely for tracks that are mostly linear.

An underwhelming top speed makes the Lotus Elise Sprint 220 a hard sell, as it will simply struggle to keep up against other Class-D cars in tracks that prioritize raw power above everything else. However, this vehicle impresses in every other area, delivering above-average acceleration, great handling, and plenty of nitro.
The Lotus Elise Sprint 220 should be left for tracks that reward control above speed, and it is a solid multiplayer option. While it might lack speed, this car should not be ignored.

The Porsche 911 Targa 4S is comparable to the Griffith. It's not quite as fast, with a top stock speed of 303 km/h and a top maxed speed of 315.1 km/h. It's similarly below-average in other stats as well. While the handling is a bit lower than the Griffith's, it does have slightly improved nitro capacity.
Also similarly to the TVR Griffith, The Targa 4S will take some doing for racers to keep this vehicle going where they want it. Players may need some decent track knowledge before they can make proper use of its speed.

An excellent early game choice, the Porsche 718 Cayman boasts above-average top speeds of 275 km/h stock and 295.7 km/h maxed. It also has above-average handling at stock. Its Nitro capacity at stock is average for D-Class, but rises a little above average for maxed D-Class cars.
When maxed, the Cayman's handling drops a little below average for D-Class, but is still decent given its speed. This car also has below-average acceleration at both stock and maxed levels, but its speed and nitro can help make up for this deficit.

It may not be the fastest car on track, but the BMW i8 Roadster certainly isn't the worst of the lot. It makes up for a lack of speed (250 km/h stock and 278.3 km/h maxed) with its other stats. Its acceleration is a little below average at stock, but it still boasts excellent handling and nitro.
This vehicle really shines when it's been upgraded. Its acceleration rises well above the average for D-Class maxed vehicles, while its handling soars even higher. The Roadster's nitro remains high as well. It makes a great introduction vehicle to the game, and provides some great advantages for outperforming the competition.

The Mazda Furai is a speedster that doesn't take too much off the other stats either. It has a stock top speed of 290 km/h and a maxed top speed of 305.5 km/h. Its acceleration capabilities are also way above D-Class averages. With the Furai's speed and acceleration, players can shoot ahead of the pack.
The Furai is a little lacking in handling, which isn't surprising given its speed, but it's not too far behind D-Class averages. Its nitro struggles the most, but still has enough capacity to give racers a quick boost when needed. Altogether, this is a well-balanced vehicle with a great speed advantage.

With an above-average stock top speed of 271 km/h, the Honda Civic Type R is a top choice for D-Class racers. Though its top speed drops just below average at 285.3 km/h when maxed, it offers above-average acceleration to aid racers in their quest for gold.
Though the Type R's handling is below average at stock, it does rise above D-Class averages when maxed out. Its nitro is behind the averages as well, but not so far behind as to be useless. This vehicle will still provide racers with a good chance at victory.

This ride offers incredible handling and great nitro, despite above-average top speeds of 275 km/h at stock and 290.7 km/hat maxed stats. All in all, this makes the Ginetta G60 s a superb choice for new racers. It provides great speeds while still being easy to control, which means new players will be able to keep up with those who are a little more experienced.
The only place the G60 is lacking is in acceleration, being a few points below the average for both stock and maxed D-Class vehicles. However, it can easily make up for this in speed and nitro.

Boasting top speeds of 276 km/h stock and 299.9 km/h maxed, the GT350R is a wonderful option from D-Class. It also has above-average acceleration at both stock and maxed levels. Its stock handling is above-average, but drops below the D-Class maxed average when fully upgraded.
The nitro is lacking the most in the GT350R. It is a few points below average at stock, and dips a little further below when upgraded to max levels. Still, that is a small sacrifice, and a decent racer can still make excellent use of this vehicle.
