Developed by London-based studio Interior Night, As Dusk Falls was originally released for Xbox consoles and PC in July 2022. The adventure game debuted to a strong critical reception, with many reviewers praising its character-driven narrative and immense focus on meaningful choices that made it highly replayable.
The PlayStation port of As Dusk Falls is now confirmed to be coming to the PS4 and PS5 on March 7, over 19 months following its initial release. Sony console owners might still find the relatively long wait for this game to be worth it, not least because its PlayStation version won't be a simple port but also take advantage of some platform-exclusive features. Elaborating on that point, Interior Night CEO and Creative Director Caroline Marchal explained that the studio will utilize the DualSense controller's haptic feedback support to "increase the weight of every decision," presumably by making intense moments even tenser with deliberate vibration patterns.
And while haptic feedback controls are only available on Sony's latest console, both the PS4 and PS5 versions of As Dusk Falls will leverage the DualShock 4 and DualSense touchpads with the goal of making its gameplay "even more intuitive," Marchal said. Although PC gamers can already play As Dusk Falls with Sony-made controllers, the upcoming arrival of these PlayStation ports doesn't necessarily guarantee that the PC version of the game will be updated with extended DualShock 4 and DualSense support.

While the PS4 version of the game will be a digital-only release, its PS5 counterpart is also getting a premium physical edition in spring 2024. Priced at $44.99, the boxed copy of As Dusk Falls can already be pre-ordered from Serenity Forge, the publisher in charge of its PlayStation ports. Although this hasn't been explicitly confirmed, the PS Store version of the game is expected to retail at $29.99, same as its digital counterparts on Steam and Xbox/Microsoft Store. The game will also reach CD Projekt's GOG and Epic Games Store on March 7.
