Borderlands 4 is getting an official art book, with The Best War Games obtaining an exclusive first look at its cover. The newly announced visual companion promises to deliver hundreds of pages' worth of illustrations and Borderlands 4 development insights.

First announced at Gamescom 2024, Borderlands 4 initially had a September 23 release date before being moved up to September 12. No official reason for the rescheduling has been provided, though Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford suggested the shift may be due to the project being ahead of schedule. "Everything is going great," he said in a late April social media post.

Borderlands Franchise Passes Enormous Sales Milestone After Almost 16 Years

The Borderlands franchise passes an enormous sales milestone almost 16 years after the first game was released.

With less than four months until Borderlands 4 hits the market, 2K and Gearbox announced that the AAA looter shooter will be getting an official art book, The Art of Borderlands 4, to be published by Dark Horse Comics. The Best War Games can exclusively share the book's cover, which combines character illustrations with environment concept art depicting Borderlands 4's new planet of Kairos.
