Ferrium Ore is one of the many types of raw materials in Arknights Endfield, and it is absolutely crucial for your early game progression. It's one of the materials you need to craft the blue-rarity Gear items that will drastically increase the strength of your Operators in the early stages of the game. Thankfully, Ferrium isn't that hard to get, but the majority of players will likely reach a point where they can make Ferrium-based equipment without actually finding any of this mineral in their location. Here's a quick guide showing you where to get Ferrium early in Endfield.

The earliest place where you can find a Ferrium field is actually right next to the Core AIC Area in Valley IV. From the AIC, head east, then follow the road that leads to the upper plateau. The Ferrium field is near a TP point in that area.

One Ferrium field won't be enough to sustain your needs, and if you need more, you'll have to push through to the Originium Science Park. There are three Ferrium Ore fields in this sub-region (maybe more), with the first being right next to the road near the entrance to the park. In order to reach the Originium Science Park and all the other Ferrium Ore fields marked on the map above, you'll need to proceed through the Act 1 story up until you get asked to go to the science park.

How to Mine Ferrium Ore in Endfield

You can't just use regular automated miners to get Ferrium. To mine this mineral, you'll need an Electric Mining Rig Mk. II, which you can unlock by getting the Mining III node in the AIC Index menu (a.k.a. The factory unlocks tree). Again, you need to progress through the main story before you can unlock the third tier of Basic AIC Index options.

In order to start automatically mining anything in Endfield, you need to expand your power network by creating and connecting Power Relays across the map.

To make an Electric Mining Rig Mk. II, you'll need:

  • 1 Portable Originium Rig (requires 5 Origocrusts)
  • 10 Ferrium Parts

Yes, you'll need to mine Ferrium manually first and bring the ores to a Refining Unit and Fitting Unit. This upgraded auto-miner features a slightly higher output rate, but it uses an additional 5 units of power to run. If you plan on replacing all of your Electric Mining Rigs with the Mk. II version, make sure you first expand your maximum power cap in Endfield as well as power production.
