Players with a Designation Selection Permit can choose a free 6-star character from the Basic Headhunting Banner, which is the Standard Banner in Arknights: Endfield. The Standard Banner has five 6-star characters, each with their own role and team. Of course, picking a free 6-star character in Arknights: Endfield helps players build stronger teams. For that reason, this guide breaks down and ranks every 6-star character in Arknights: Endfield.
Arknights Endfield Tier List
A tier list can help players assess the characters they have and which to prioritize; here's Arknights: Endfield tier list.
Ardelia
She's Already Free, So Low Priority
All players already got Ardelia a few days after Arknights: Endfield’s launch. Not only that, but players also got her signature weapon, further getting access to one of the best supports in the game. If it weren't for that, Ardelia would've easily been on top of this list. Her first Potential increases her Physical and Arts Susceptibility multiplier by an extra 8%. It's great for her kit, but not enough to choose her over a full 6-star character in Arknights: Endfield.
Ember
Redundant With Ardelia
Ember is a healer and a shielder who can provide unmatched sustainability to her teams in Arknights: Endfield. When Ember is on the field, it's hard for enemies to take an ally down. Additionally, Ember can Knock Down enemies through her Battle Skill and Ultimate, providing extra Vulnerability stacks for Physical teams.
Unfortunately, that's where her positives end, as Ember doesn't have any buffs or debuffs to increase the team's DMG. Players can still build her with supportive weapons and gear sets that provide this kind of support. However, other characters can also have those builds while providing much more utility. All in all, Ember is a very strong sustain character, but can barely offer anything beyond that.
Lifeng
For Physical Team, But Only After Pogranichnik
For a Physical team, Lifeng is an impressive addition because of the constant Vulnerability stacks he inflicts on enemies. While characters like Pogranichnik and the MC consume the Vulnerability stacks to trigger Crush or Breach, Lifeng builds them up with his Knock Down, which applies more Vulnerability stacks, but does not consume them.
Lifeng also deals a lot of DMG to the point that he can operate as the team's main DPS or Sub-DPS without any trouble. Not to mention, he can also increase the team's DMG by applying Physical Susceptibility on enemies and granting his team the Link buff with his Combo Skill. Unfortunately, Physical teams are not at the level of the best teams in Arknights: Endfield. So, getting Lifeng is more of an investment for the future.
Pogranichnik
Core Character For Physical Teams
Pogranichnik is an amazing hybrid support/Sub-DPS in Arknights: Endfield. He's a must-have for any player trying to build a top-tier Physical team. Pogranichnik consumes Vulnerability stacks on enemies to trigger and apply Breach, which will increase the Physical DMG enemies take from him and his allies. As a Vanguard, Pogranichnik does a great job recovering the team's Skill Points, giving more fluidity to the team's Battle Skill use.
When Pogranichnik casts his Ultimate, he provides a lot of utility and buffs, like increasing the team's ATK%, Art Intensity, and recovering more Skill Points. So far, there doesn't seem to be any negatives in Pogranichnik's gameplay other than his slightly underwhelming DMG. Then again, he's not a DPS unit, so he deals enough DMG for the utility he brings to the team.
Last Rite
Best DPS Behind Laevatain
Last Rite is one of the best DPS in Arknights: Endfield. Although she needs a team to build up her Combo Skill and Ultimate, the payoff is worth it. Last Rite can also spam her Battle Skill, even if she's not the active character. That means she also operates well as a Sub-DPS next to an active operator. In terms of DPS and value she brings to her teams, Last Rite is the best character on the standard banner in Arknights: Endfield.
On the other hand, Last Rite and her team take time to set up the field ready for her combo. In the future, the game might roll out new, faster characters that will powercreep Last Rite by hitting harder or having faster mechanics. But all that is just speculation. For now, Last Rite is one of the best DPS characters in Arknights: Endfield.
