Although many websites sell Steam keys, a significant portion are resellers that accept keys from third-party sources without closely verifying their origins. These platforms carry a risk of distributing keys obtained through illegitimate means (e.g., purchases made with stolen credit card information), which can result in users being banned simply for activating them. In contrast, Fanatical sources its keys directly from developers and publishers, making it a legitimate retailer that is safe to use.

ARC Raiders Gets 14% Discount on Fanatical

Fanatical is currently offering the Steam version of ARC Raiders at 14% off, bringing its price down to $34.39. This is the cheapest that the hit extraction shooter can currently be purchased on any platform. After buying it, the game's Steam key can be procured by navigating to the "Order History and Keys" menu (fanatical.com/orders), selecting the corresponding transaction, and clicking the big orange "Reveal Coupon" button. The code then needs to be redeemed via Steam. Fanatical's ARC Raiders Steam keys activate internationally, with the exception of 14 countries. India, Indonesia, Brazil, and Vietnam are the largest markets excluded from this promotional offer.

The deal marks the first time that Embark Studios' extraction shooter has dropped below $35. While initially envisioned as a free-to-play game, ARC Raiders eventually pivoted to a premium model and debuted with a $40 price tag on October 30. There is currently no indication of how long this promotional offer will remain available. Purchases of ARC Raiders via Fanatical also include a 5% coupon for a future order on the platform. Most transactions over $0.30 qualify for this bonus, so in theory, it may be possible to purchase a cheap item, obtain the coupon, and then apply it to ARC Raiders for an additional discount that exceeds $0.30 and thus makes such hoop-jumping worthwhile. However, Fanatical's website states that "some individual product exclusions apply" to the coupon and does not confirm whether the discount can be stacked with other deals.

How Can Fanatical Afford to Discount ARC Raiders So Soon After Launch?

Fanatical can offer lower prices than Steam because it buys keys in bulk and doesn’t bear the hosting costs of a full distribution platform. Valve generally allows third parties to sell Steam keys on external sites, with some limitations, making this a legitimate business strategy. Fanatical has consistently leveraged this model to offer discounted games and will occasionally cut prices on high-profile releases at launch to draw attention to its broader catalog. For example, TES: Oblivion Remastered received a substantial discount from Fanatical just days after its April 2025 release.

ARC Raiders has been exploding in popularity since its October 30 launch. Circa 2:37pm ET on October 30, it peaked at 291,703 concurrent players on Steam alone, according to SteamDB data. It is still climbing higher as of this writing, so anyone jumping into it right now will have no shortage of people to play with (and against), especially given that the game incorporates absolute cross-platform multiplayer that can't even be disabled.
