Thousands of ARC Raiders fans are calling for the world map to be accessible to all party members, allowing them to view active events more easily and mark the areas they consider best for raiding. Despite a successful launch and a strong player base months after release, ARC Raiders has faced some criticism, particularly over missing quality-of-life features like a shared world map for party members.
Embark Studios has been responding to fans' requests, adding more quality-of-life features with each ARC Raiders patch. Still, many players feel the developer is moving too slowly. Others also believe the game is missing basic features that should have been included at launch, citing the world map as a prime example.
New ARC Raiders Update for January 28 Fixes Unintended Weapon Changes
Just one day after the release of the Headwinds update, Embark Studios releases a new ARC Raiders update to address some accidental changes.
All Party Members Should See the Map, ARC Raiders Fans Say
In ARC Raiders, only the party leader or host can view the map and active events, deciding where the team should go. Other party members must either rely on the leader's directions or consult third-party interactive ARC Raiders maps to track events. Thousands of fans now argue that this system is inefficient and are urging Embark Studios to make the map visible to all party members.
What makes the current system even more frustrating is that map conditions in ARC Raiders are time-sensitive, meaning the squad often needs to decide quickly to avoid missing out on bonuses. However, party members have to spend extra time asking the leader for exact locations and durations or rely on online tools to choose a spot, which wastes their valuable time.
In most shooters with a decision-making phase for landing, all squad members usually have a way to suggest where the team should go. In Call of Duty: Warzone, for example, teammates can ping locations on the map before choosing a landing spot. Surprisingly, ARC Raiders has skipped this standard feature, frustrating thousands of fans. One Reddit user even said that the inability of party members to see the map was a key reason they stopped playing the game.
A shared map isn't the only issue fans have with ARC Raiders' map. Many have voiced frustration on social media about the map conditions. Players say the current rotation schedules some limited-time events during work hours, making it difficult for those with a standard nine-to-five job to participate. Fans are now asking Embark Studios to adjust the timing of map conditions, so casual players can benefit from them as well.
ARC Raiders' World Map Could Use More Improvements
Fans have suggested several practical quality-of-life features to improve the map. One user recommended adding a small counter next to each zone to show how many ARC Raiders keys the player has for that region, saving time. Another suggested that zone icons display the number of active quests in each location to help players prioritize their raids.
According to ARC Raiders' 2026 roadmap, the February patch will bring a new map update that may include some of these requested features. Titled Shrouded Sky, the patch will also introduce a new map condition and a new ARC threat. Embark Studios has not confirmed an exact release date, but most players expect it to arrive in late February.
