ARC Raiders feature several different environments that require players to adapt to their surroundings if they wish to survive Topside and return safely to Speranza. If you find yourself venturing into abandoned buildings or conducting night raids, you may have experienced trouble looking around in the dark. However, if you're playing the game on an Nvidia GPU, here's how you can use a filter to increase ARC Raider's brightness and see threats clearly in the dark.
Increasing the game's brightness via Nvidia Filters does not work anymore. After the recent patch, developers have added Nvidia Filters as one of the flags in the anti-cheat system that ARC Raiders use.
ARC Raiders: How to Get Advanced ARC Power Cells
Advanced ARC Powercells are an important resource in ARC Raiders, used to craft Energy Clips & Advanced Shield Rechargers, here's how to farm them.
How to Increase Brightness in ARC Raiders (Best Nvidia Filter Settings)
ARC Raiders does not have in-game gamma or brightness sliders, making it difficult for players to adjust the game's look for darker areas. While it's the way developers intend how players should experience the game, it can give campers a huge advantage, as their presence is totally concealed in the darkness.
To fix that, you can try making ARC Raiders brighter by using Nvidia's built-in filters tool. To use Nvidia Filters, you'll need to download the Nvidia App, which is a replacement for the old GeForce Experience software.
Once you've done that, make sure to follow the steps below to activate the Nvidia Filters utility.
- Open the Nvidia App by looking it up in the Windows Search bar.
- Click on the settings tab on the left.
- Enable the "Game Filters and Photo Mode" setting under the Overlay section.
Nvidia Filters functionality has been known to cause performance issues for some users. If you experience noticeable performance degradation in ARC Raiders, best to avoid trying this method out altogether.
Once you've activated Nvidia Filters, launch ARC Raiders and wait till you reach the main menu. On the main menu, press the "ALT+Z" shortcut to activate the Nvidia Overlay. From here, you can head to the Game Filters option, where you'll be able to add some factors that can be tuned to increase the brightness and gamma for ARC Raiders.
Here's a list of all the factors and their settings you need to change to increase ARC Raiders' brightness in Nvidia Filters.

Once you've configured the filter values, they will be applied to ARC Raiders, and darker environments will look much brighter. To make it easier to switch between the original and the filter, you can add the filter profile to a shortcut in Nvidia overlay. This will let you toggle the filter on and off in-game, according to your specific situation.
Here's a quick comparison between the original look of the game versus how it looks when using the Nvidia Filter settings above.
