The ARC Raiders community appears to be reverse-review-bombing a real-life hotel in Italy after discovering it shares the same name as one of the extraction shooter's most popular maps: Stella Montis. Unlike ARC Raiders' other maps, such as Buried City, Dam Battlegrounds, Blue Gate, or Spaceport, Stella Montis is a PvP hot spot that often results in some incredible player reactions. Now the community appears to be taking their in-game experiences and jokingly leaving 5-star reviews for a hotel in Italy with the same name.

Stella Montis was added to ARC Raiders back in November, less than one month after the game's release. Carved into a mountainside in post-apocalyptic Italy, this secluded research facility is filled with winding corridors, multiple levels, and close spaces that have turned the map into a PvP extravaganza. If battling other players non-stop wasn't enough, Stella Montis also introduced a deadly new ARC enemy known as the Shredder. While this enemy type is only currently found on Stella Montis, developer Embark Studios has hinted that it may one day make its debut on other maps in the game.

ARC Raiders Dev Responds to Growing Player Requests for High-Tier Raids

As players grow tired of constantly looting free kits, Embark responds to growing player requests for the addition of high-tier raids in ARC Raiders.

ARC Raiders Player Discover a Real-Life Stella Montis

Anybody who has played even just one raid on Stella Montis will know that it's home to some hilarious player interactions, and now the community is using these experiences to leave hilarious reviews for a real-life hotel in Italy. As spotted by GamesRadar+, The Hotel Stella Montis, located in the Autonomous Province of Trento, Northern Italy, has been inundated with glowing reviews from players who (presumably) haven't even stayed there. "Any group bigger than two has a very high chance of meeting rats in the lobby. Hotel has a medical section, which is a hot spot for dead bodies," one reviewer said, making a clear reference to the Medical Research section of the map, which is often filled with Shredders and plenty of PvP action.

"I love this place," another review says. "Tons of drawers that give me epic loot and even Venator blueprint if you have the correct hotel keycard, but be careful about the moving balls that burn you and the vase-like robot thingy that would shred you to pieces." These types of reviews go on and on, which is great for the hotel, as many of them appear to be accompanied by a 5-star rating. However, joking about "rats" and "dead bodies" is probably going to confuse anybody who has absolutely no idea what ARC Raiders is. Although Nexon says ARC Raiders has sold over 12 million copies to date, there's sure to be a lot of people simply looking for a hotel in Italy who will be left confused by a lot of these reviews.

Stella Montis is the newest map to be added to ARC Raiders, but Embark has revealed that there will be multiple others on the way over the next 12 months. Exact details on the new maps remain a mystery, but the studio has said they will vary in size. While Stella Montis is by far the smallest and most tight-nit map in the game, it's not to say that all future maps will be the same. The likes of Blue Gate and Spaceport are much more vast with their own unique styles, but there's no denying that fans are incredibly fond of the fast-paced action that Stella Montis offers.

After finding huge success following its release in October, Embark has released a steady stream of new updates for ARC Raiders to keep players coming back for more. One of its most recent patches came earlier this month and finally nerfed the controversial Trigger Nade item. The C4-style grenade had been dominating PvP encounters over the Christmas period, but Embark has now reduced its damage radius while also increasing the time it takes to trigger and detonate the grenade. Other changes include a reduction in the Kettle's fire rate and a highly-requested fix for players exploiting on Stella Montis and going out-of-bounds.
