As if the skies of Topside weren't dangerous enough, another aerial threat has just arrived in Arc Raiders. The newly-released Shrouded Sky update has introduced a slew of additions to the playing field, including more quests, map updates, and two deadly enemies to hunt Raiders down. One of those is the Firefly, a flying drone equipped with a flamethrower on its underside.
Along with the Shrouded Sky update, a new project is available to contribute to: the Weather Monitoring System. Each of its five stages requires specific parts to complete, with the final stage requiring the brand-new Firefly Burner. This Arc Raiders guide will show players where to find the new ARC threat and how to retrieve a Firefly Burner from them.

Where to Find Firefly Burners in Arc Raiders
Handle the Flames
The Firefly Burner part can be looted from Fireflies, one of two new ARC enemies introduced with the Shrouded Sky update. Similar to other flying ARC, Fireflies can be found patrolling through open areas during day and night and in all weather conditions. As such, you typically won't find them inside corridors or small buildings. Instead, look around the outskirts of the various points of interest on each map.
Fireflies look quite similar to Hornets, even sporting the same shielding on their frontal propellers. Their stealth-jet-like bodies can help distinguish them, along with their more rounded edges compared to the Hornet's jagged exterior. Their back propellers are also slightly shielded, making them a bit more difficult to pick apart from any angle.
Like Hornets, the Firefly is weakest when attacking from below. They have no shielding on the bottom of their propellers, making them easily destroyed with most weapons.
Unlike the Comet Igniter, which can only be looted if a Comet doesn't destroy itself, Firefly Burners can normally always be looted from a Firefly. As of this writing, we've always found a Firefly Burner after destroying a Firefly.
How to Kill a Firefly Without Getting Burned in Arc Raiders
If a Firefly gets too close to you, it will torch you with deadly accuracy. Similar to Fireballs, you can't avoid the flames by simply dodging to the side. Instead, you'll need speed to take them down quickly, or a safe place to take cover behind.
A Firefly is at its most dangerous out in the open. And, unfortunately, that's where most of them patrol. If you're carrying heavy weapons like an Anvil or a Ferro, you should be able to break apart their propellers before they're able to close the gap. As usual, you only need to shoot off two propellers to completely disable the ARC.
Otherwise, if you're carrying light weapons like a Stitcher or Kettle, try to find something to hide behind when the Firefly approaches you. You'll need to time your shots carefully, only peeking out of cover when the barrage of fire isn't being blasted at your face. You won't be piercing any armor with light weapons, so shooting off two propellers is your best bet for disposing of them quickly.
A Firefly will burst into scattered flames after being destroyed, much the same as Fireballs do. Be careful after killing them, and allow the flames to extinguish before picking parts out of them.
Once you've successfully destroyed a Firefly, loot its body to find a Firefly Burner. These parts are required to craft Trailblazer Grenades, as well as in the final stage of the Weather Monitoring System project.
