Controlled Access Zone is a high-value loot area on Dam Battlegrounds that was added to ARC Raiders in the Shrouded Sky update. While the area is filled with containers that are ripe for loot, players can also solve a puzzle that involves pushing four buttons together to enter the best loot room in the game. Unlike the puzzles on the Blue Gate map, the Controlled Access Zone button puzzle cannot be solved solo or with your squad, and instead will require the cooperation of multiple friendly raiders.

How to Solve the Controlled Access Zone Button Puzzle in ARC Raiders

ARC Raiders Controlled Access Zone All Entry Poins

To attempt the Controlled Access Zone button puzzle in ARC Raiders, players must first enter the area on Dam Battlegrouds through one of the three entrances (marked on the map above). Make sure you're playing the game solo and are present in PvE friendly lobbies.

This puzzle will require you to push four buttons simultaneously to unlock the door, which clearly won't be possible with your trio squad alone. The corporation with other raiders will be required to enter the locked room.

Raids with duos and trios are typically subject to PvP encounters, which is a reason why I've recommended going into a raid solo to attempt the Controlled Access Zone button puzzle in ARC Raiders.

While you're heading to the location, use proximity chat to rally up three other raiders by asking them if they're interested in attempting the puzzle with you (and split the loot evenly). Since it's newer content in the game, they'll likely agree to do the puzzle with you.

Unlocking the First Door by Pressing Four Buttons

Once you're inside the Controlled Access Zone, the first thing you'll need to do is locate the battery on the bottom floor. You'll most likely find it near the generator in the connecting room, or around the open area that isn't covered in shrubbery/overgrown. Once you've found the battery, insert it into the panel opposite the main office on the top floor.

The location of two buttons in the Controlled Access Zone is fixed/static. One can be found inside the main office with windows overlooking the area, which you'll unlock after inserting the battery into the terminal. The second button is located to the left of the locked door with four lights on top of it.

The other two buttons can be found near the staircases or on top of the metal pipes, and will be much easier to locate compared to the Raider's Refuge puzzle on Blue Gate. Once you've found all four buttons in the Controlled Access Zone, you'll need to assign them to each raider in your friendly party, including one to yourself.

Unlocking the Second Locked Door with Materials

At the count of three, every player will need to press the buttons at the same time. If you do it correctly, all the lights on top of the locked door should turn on, and it'll open up. But wait, there's more! Inside the room that you've just unlocked with the buttons, you'll come across another locked door that will require you to find some materials.

The materials are randomized each time, but I've mostly commonly found wires, metal parts, Motors, Industrial Batteries, ARC Powercells, and a Leaper Pulse Unit to be a requirement. Once you have all these materials, use them on the door panel to the left to unlock the second door, and finally enter the Controlled Access Zone loot room.

The loot room that you unlock after solving the Controlled Access Zone button puzzle in ARC Raiders is huge, and there's enough loot to go around. You'll find a lot of loot on the bottom floor, including weapons on control panels, breachable containers, and weapon crates.

There's more stuff to be found if you head up the staircase. Once everyone's looted up, simply extract and hope your party isn't caught off-guard by campers.
