ARC Raiders developer Embark Studios has responded to player backlash regarding the shooter's newest map modifier, Bird City, by increasing its overall frequency to allow more fans to participate in the event. Those who haven't had the chance to check out ARC Raiders' new Bird City map event on Buried City will now have the chance to do so, as the rotation schedule for the modifier has been increased substantially.
Last month, Embark kicked off its 2026 roadmap with the new Headwinds update for ARC Raiders. The patch was available to all users for free and included tons of new content for the community to check out, including a new Bird City map modifier. This rotating event works similarly to the other modifiers in the game, appearing periodically with a twist on the base map. In the case of Bird City, the event sees flocks of birds gather around Buried City's chimneys, allowing players to search their nests to find some valuable rewards. The event includes an increase in the amount of Trinkets that spawn, as well as a larger number of Ziplines and birds around the map.
ARC Raiders Players Say This Basic Party Feature Is Long Overdue
ARC Raiders fans are urging Embark Studios to change a key aspect of the world map, arguing that its current design doesn't make sense.
ARC Raiders Increases Bird City Event Times
Unfortunately, despite being brand-new to the game, the timing of Bird City left ARC Raiders fans pretty disappointed. Many labeled it the "unemployed event," as the Bird City schedule meant only those who didn't have a standard 9-5 job could check it out. Thankfully, Embark seems to have heard the complaints loud and clear, as it has now significantly increased the event's frequency. After all of the map conditions mysteriously disappeared for a few hours last night, a community manager for Embark Studios took to the official ARC Raiders Discord and said, "Last night, there was an issue with the map conditions schedule. We just pushed an update enabling this week’s schedule while also increasing the frequency of Bird City." The new schedule for Bird City can now be found below, courtesy of ARC Raiders Event Timers.

Although Bird City is now available more frequently throughout the day, it's unclear whether Embark will keep the schedule permanently or reduce it later. The community manager's statement in Discord did say the studio plans to continue revising and trying to find a schedule for all conditions that will give all players a chance to play, regardless of their timezone.
Embark also revealed that there will be no new ARC Raiders update or store rotation this week, but players can look forward to a patch next week, on Tuesday, February 10. It's currently unclear what will be included in next week's update, but fans have been calling for Embark to fix the duplication exploit in ARC Raiders. Although the studio says it addressed the problem in an update last month, it didn't take long for players to replicate the glitch and duplicate items such as blueprints and the lucrative new Familiar Duck. Many players believe that those duplicating blueprints are ruining the game's meta and that Embark needs to release a fix as soon as possible.
Given that the new Headwinds update was only released last week, it's unlikely that next week's patch will include any new content. However, Embark has confirmed as part of the ARC Raiders 2026 roadmap that the new Shrouded Sky update will be released sometime this month. Included in the highly anticipated update will be a new map condition, which many speculate to be the rumored Toxic Swamp, as well as a new ARC threat, a new player project, a raider deck, a map update, and the game's second Expedition window.
