Without a doubt, many Apex Legends players are looking forward to the next season, with the recent trailer teasing what appears to be an exciting one. New Apex Legends character Ash may be the most exciting, given how long she has been tied to the franchise but has yet to appear as a playable character. Still, that doesn’t mean there aren’t exciting things happening in Apex right now as the current season slowly comes to a close.
The Apex Chronicles event for Bloodhound has wrapped, and the Monsters Within Event is ongoing. But there’s also no discounting the sheer chaos and hype from match-to-match. One Apex Legends player has shared such a moment, in which they perfectly time one of Valkyrie’s finishers.
This finisher sees Valk circle her opponent, land on their back, and stomp their head. It’s a pretty straightforward animation, but in a recent match on Kings Canyon, one Redditor managed to time it as a downed opponent (another Valk) fell from a roof in Runoff. While other buildings on Kings Canyon may be a bit much, this was perfect because, as the opponent fell, Valk circled them, landed on their back midair, and stomped their head right after they hit the ground. Watch the clip HERE.
Given Valk’s passive and entire character is revolved around flight, not only is this perfectly timed finisher epic, but it’s befitting of her character. The Redditor doesn’t believe they could time it in Apex Legends again this well, and it’s understandable why: everything from the enemy’s drop to the height of the building all came into play with this finisher.
For Apex Legends Season 11, dubbed Escape, it seems the Apex Games are moving to a tropical island, something the characters believed to be a vacation. In Mirage’s nightmare, however, it most certainly wasn’t that. What this means in terms of the location’s impact on Apex firefights, from the meta and rotations to similar small things like Finisher is that it’s all going to be brand new. As such, fans should expect various epic clips when the new Apex Legends season begins on November 2.
Beyond Ash, the new season is also adding the CAR SMG, a fan-favorite weapon from the Titanfall universe. Between Ash and the CAR, it’s clear the new season is using Titanfall as heavily as Valk’s design did, and it’ll be interesting to see how the relationship between Titanfall and Apex develops beyond season 11.
Apex Legends is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
