In the indie soulslike, Another Crab's Treasure, you'll find all sorts of useful items while exploring the seafloor. You will also come across some hooks that are pretty high up off the ground, just waiting to be grappled onto. However, you do not start Another Crab's Treasure with a grappling hook of any kind, but you get one eventually, which is exactly what you will use to grab onto those hooks. You should come across these while walking around The Shallows for the first time.
Indie Games That Became Major Success Stories
Though most only see a modest amount of success, some indie games have etched their way into video game history by becoming must-have titles.
How to Grab onto Hooks in Another Crab's Treasure
Getting the Fishing Line
As part of the main story of Another Crab's Treasure, you'll need to pay a visit to the duchess in the big sand castle to the north. There will be a line of people waiting to get in, but if you just walk up to the front, they will announce that walk-ins are now happening. Right when you walk into the castle, there will be a room to the right that a guard blocks off. Return here after speaking to the duchess.
She'll task you with going out west to retrieve something worthy of her beauty.
Now that you are on a Duchess-approved quest, the lobster will let you into the "messy" room.
Using your jumping skills and climbing abilities, make your way to the top of the room and platform over to the house of cards, which has a glowing object on top of it. You actually don't even need to make it to the top --as long as you knock the tower over, you'll get the reward, which happens to be the Fishing Line.
Grappling onto Hooks and Walls
To use the Fishing Line, you just have to hold the left trigger (LT on Xbox) to aim at a fishhook, then release to grapple towards it. You can also attach yourself to some nets.
