Animal Crossing: New Horizons is over one year old now, but Nintendo is still supporting the game with new content. The next update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons arrives later this week on April 28, and it will prepare the game for upcoming seasonal events. These seasonal events are repeats of what fans experienced in Animal Crossing: New Horizons around this time last year, but Nintendo has promised that there will be "new twists" this time around.
First off, Animal Crossing: New Horizons fans can look forward to the May Day celebration from April 29 to May 7. In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, May Day lets players use a special May Day Ticket to visit a unique island. Assuming it's anything like last year's May Day event, Animal Crossing: New Horizons fans will want to prepare themselves to complete a maze in exchange for a limited-time item.
Then from May 18 to May 31, Animal Crossing: New Horizons fans will be able to celebrate International Museum Day. For this event, players will want to talk to Blathers at the Museum to get a special Stamp card, and then they will be tasked with completing Stamp Rally challenges while the event is live.
When that's over, the next seasonal event Animal Crossing: New Horizons fans have in store is Wedding Season, which is live in the game from June 1 to June 30. Reese and Cyrus were married in the game during last year's Wedding Season event, so this year they are reuniting at Harvey's Island to take some fresh wedding photos to celebrate their anniversary. Wedding Season will also feature special wedding-themed items that players will be able to get from Nook Shopping and the Able Sisters shop for a limited time.
Speaking of limited-time items, Animal Crossing: New Horizons fans can look forward to some new items that will be available to purchase in the game during the months of May and June. Nintendo stopped short of providing specifics, but it did say that fans will be able to get items for Mother's Day and Cheese Rolling. Specific details on when Animal Crossing: New Horizons fans can get these limited time items should come to light in the weeks ahead.
The next update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons doesn't sound quite as substantial as some of the other updates the game has received this year. It more or less seems like a remix of seasonal events that fans experienced last year, but it should still give fans of the game something to do regardless.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is out now, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
