However, it appears that Nintendo's highly anticipated title, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, is still set to release this March, though the upcoming game was previously delayed last June.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is already up for pre-order on all major video game retailers. However, up until today, Nintendo hasn't revealed any special editions or pre-order bonuses for the upcoming game. Luckily, players who will pre-purchase the game at Best Buy will be receiving a cute store-exclusive gift, that is perfect for the most dedicated Animal Crossing fan.
Players who will pre-order Animal Crossing: New Horizons at Best Buy will receive an adorable badge, which they can stick to their Nintendo Switch, smartphones, and other tech devices. The sticker badge features Tom Nook, who operates the village's store in previous Animal Crossing games. The Tom Nook badge is detachable and reusable, and will not leave any residue on your gadget upon removal. Apart from the sticker, Best Buy will also reward My Best Buy members with a $10 reward certificate, which players can use to purchase other items from the store. Unfortunately, Best Buy's pre-order deal doesn't reduce the game's price, which is still at $59.99.
Pre-Order Animal Crossing: New Horizons for the Nintendo Switch at Best Buy.
Just as with other entries in the Animal Crossing franchise, each game starts differently than the other. For Animal Crossing: New Horizons, players are invited to start a new life on a deserted island via the Nook Inc. Deserted Island Getaway Package, which was featured in the latest trailer released earlier this month. From there, players are tasked to establish a village, make it habitable, and invite others to become permanent residents. The game will also feature more customization options that will be available in character creation and the placement of objects within the game's environment.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons will also have an 8-player co-op mode that will allow players to work with friends and build a perfect community on the deserted island. Other features that will be available in the upcoming game include crafting, which was inspired by Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, fishing, gathering of resources, bug catching, and many more.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons releases on March 20, 2020, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
