With the release of Animal Crossing: New Horizons' 3.0 update, chances are you may be returning to the game after a long hiatus. If that sounds like you, then Resetti's Reset Service will be of particular interest. It essentially allows you to clear up the mess that you've made on your island in 'the blink of a mole's eye' to quote Resetti himself, which can help you get back into the swing of island life. However, if you're unsure where to find Resetti or how to use his reset service in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, this guide will explain everything you need to know.

Where to Find Resetti in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Once you've downloaded and installed the Animal Crossing: New Horizons 3.0 update, you should be able to find Resetti walking around your island. From our time in the latest update, there doesn't appear to be any set location he starts from or can be found in, so make sure you're exploring the full extent of your island and you should eventually find him.
How to Use Resetti's Reset Service in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
After finding Resetti, speak to him and he can run you through the ins and outs of resetting your island. Once he's done running you through the basics, he'll then offer to start 'resettin'.' If you're not sure what you want to do just yet, decline his offer.
This will then give you the option to choose the area of your island you want to reset. Keep in mind that there is a 60,000 Bells daily rate. That price will cover the cost of resetting as many areas as often as you like for the entire day, so it's best to start early and make the most of the reset service in one day to avoid racking up a hefty bill.
As a new customer offer, your first day using the service will be free. Make sure you've got an idea of what you want to do with your island before taking Resetti up on the offer.
What Can Resetti Reset?
- Furniture
- Fencing
- Ladders
- Anything placed on the ground on your island
- Clears out any cockroaches or bugs from your house
What Does Resetting Not Clear Up?
- Anything buried in the ground, like rocks or weeds
- Any shells or other items that wash up on your beaches
Anything that Resetti cleans up will automatically go to your home storage, so if you've not got space, you'll want to clear that out. Thankfully, the 3.0 update did increase your home storage to 9,000 items, so you should immediately have space after installing the update.
When it comes to resetting, Resetti can either tackle the entire island in one fell swoop, or focus on specific areas like beaches or custom areas that you choose.
There is also an optional service where Resetti can reset planted flowers and custom designs placed on the ground. This will also allow you to throw out any flowers he picks up rather than keeping them in storage if you want a fresh start.
Before you go ahead with the reset, Resetti can give you a preview of what your island (or area) will look like once he's done. Choose to do this if you want to make sure he's not going to reset anything you don't want him to, or tell him to get to work if not.
Whenever you want to use the reset service after your first meeting with Resetti, go to the Town Hall and speak to Isabelle whenever you want to use the reset service again.
