Animal Crossing: New Horizon's Bug-Off event is slated to start in the coming months, which is an annual event that takes place on the third Saturday of every Summer month. This time around, it is hosted by the chameleon character Flick who replaces the former host Nat who hosted it through Pocket Camp. There is speculation that the two are somehow related, but that's neither here nor there when it comes to this Animal Crossing: New Horizon's event.

Fans of the franchise will want to jump in on this event and character, as it will earn Animal Crossing: New Horizons players more bells, bug statues, unique rewards, and more.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Flick (Bells, Statues, and More)

First and foremost, Flick is not restricted to this event. The chameleon will visit randomly throughout the year, typically leaving on the following day by 5 AM. Flick's a good resource for bells, as he'll pay 1.5x more for New Horizon's bugs than Timmy. Furthermore, players who want to get sculptures of certain bugs can trade Flick three of the same in order to receive a sculpture. Players will typically find this in their New Horizons' mail box on the following day. This time around, he also plays host to the Bug-Off event.

Come the third Saturday of every summer month, Isabelle makes an announcement that the Bug-Off event starts that day. When it starts depends on the hemisphere, but regardless of that, it will run from 9 AM to 6 PM and will cost 500 bells to enter (the first time is free). Here's when the event starts:

On these days, Flick will be in the Residence Area and speaking to him begins the event. Animal Crossing: New Horizons players will just need to catch as many bug as possible in 3 minutes, with each bug being worth one pointing but every three rewarding two extra points.
