The end of June is fast approaching, and that means that a number of different types of fish are about to temporarily disappear from Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Fortunately, none of the fish that are leaving New Horizons after June are exceedingly rare, and it should be fairly easy for fans to catch them in these final days of the month. Assisting with that effort is the exact purpose of this guide, and players will find full details on the fish that are leaving in July below.
To begin, there are two species of fish that will be departing the Norther Hemisphere at the end of the month, and they are the Char and Cherry Salmon. Here is everything that Animal Crossing: New Horizons players need to know about these fish in order to catch them:
Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Fish Leaving After June (Northern Hemisphere)
- Char: Clifftop Rivers | 4pm - 9am | Medium-Small Shadow
- Cherry Salmon: Clifftop Rivers | 4pm - 9am | Medium-Small Shadow
Luckily, both of the species are found in the same types of waterways, and fans that have not yet added them to their museums in ACNH can thus turn all of their attention to clifftop rivers. As previously mentioned, neither of these fish are exceedingly rare, with the Cherry Salmon being the more elusive of the pair, and players that are equipped with a bit of Fish Bait should be able to capture them without too much trouble.
With respect to the fish leaving the Southern Hemisphere after June, there is only one, the Pike, and indeed it is quite easy to find. Even still, here are the details that fans should reference before they go hunting for this fish in Animal Crossing: New Horizons:
Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Fish Leaving After June (Southern Hemisphere)
- Pike: River | All Day | Large Shadow
Of course, these fish are not the only things that are set to depart when July comes, as an assortment of bugs in ACNH will also be taking their leave. These exiting bugs include an array of butterflies and beyond, and fans that are trying to complete their Critterpedias should make sure to dust off their Nets before June comes to a close.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is out now for Switch.
