Thanks to collaborations and crossover events, characters from other franchises have made their way to Animal Crossing in the past. In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, players only had Sanrio characters up until the release of update 3.0. When the update went live, players were able to invite some Nintendo characters onto their island at last.

With Animal Crossing New Horizons' 3.0 update, players will finally be reunited with the angry mole, Resetti. Here's how to use his reset service.

Fans will be happy to know that they can add two Splatoon-inspired villagers to their island and purchase items from their favorite gaming series in New Horizons - this guide tells them how.

How to Invite Splatoon Characters in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

While some players were expecting Nintendo to bring back the Zelda villagers from New Leaf, it introduced Tulin and Mineru instead. Nevertheless, fans who were hoping to see some familiar faces are in luck, as Viche and Cece have returned to the Animal Crossing series with the release of update 3.0.

Gamers who played New Leaf might recognize Viche and Cece, the two squirrel villagers inspired by Callie and Marie from the Splatoon series. To get Viche or Cece on their island, players must scan Splatoon amiibo and invite them over to their campsite. This can be done at the Nook Stop inside the Resident Services building; players must interact with the terminal and select the Invite Camper option.

Depending on the amiibo that the player scans, Viche or Cece will be summoned to the player's campsite. Here are the amiibo that will cause Viche or Cece to appear at the campsite in Animal Crossing: New Horizons:
