Many players are currently enjoying Animal Crossing: New Horizons because of its social elements as well as its enjoyable mechanics. The critically acclaimed New Horizons has given many players a social outlet, particularly during self-isolation because of the coronavirus pandemic. However, it is not only players who have been enjoying the title - many celebrities and organizations have also been playing as well as experimenting with the game.

The game focuses on encouraging anamorphic characters to take residence on your island and they request players to do favors to make the location more habitat. Despite the islanders having their own needs, players have enjoyed making the island reflect their personality and celebrities have customized their islands as well. Film stars such as Danny Trejo have Animal Crossing islands and it seems that musician Mike Shinoda is also aware of the characters in the game.

Mike Shinoda is perhaps best known for his work as a member of the hugely successful band Linkin Park, but he has also had critically praised solo material. The artist has been regularly uploading to Twitch in recent weeks, revealing an interesting addition to a "Euro-pop" song he has been experimenting with. Shinoda used the noises made by Animal Crossing's own KK Slider to make the track more dynamic and it sounds surprisingly good. The song would be one of KK Slider's most layered tracks but nonetheless some players will like to think of the guitar-playing dog performing this song. In fact, a lot of players of Animal Crossing: New Horizons have been impressed by KK Slider's new "bars."

Many players have responded positively to Mike Shinoda's presence on Twitch and the comments have requested more videos from the musician. While Shinoda did admit that he was a Twitch noob when he began streaming on the platform a couple of months ago, it seems that he is quickly picking up fans of his content. It certainly appears that the artist has plenty of ideas for creating quality content and by tapping into a community that constantly creates, Shinoda may well broaden his streaming fan base.

It will be interesting to see if Shinoda makes more content with characters from video games and many will hope that he will. At the moment players may have to settle with just one crossover song from Shinoda although it is definitely one of KK Slider's most inventive songs.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now on Nintendo Switch.
