An incredible animation showed what Animal Crossing would look like if it crossed over with Cult of the Lamb. Both games share similarities in terms of having adorable animal characters and farming mechanics, but the difference is that the Animal Crossing franchise isn't a roguelike slasher.

Animal Crossing is one of the most popular Nintendo franchises because of its cozy gameplay that allows players to customize their islands, and the memorable characters. Recently, the video game company also made the title even more accessible with the upcoming release of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete on iOS and Android.

Likewise, Animal Crossing fans always make different art and media inspired by the franchise's characters. One animation group known as 64 Bits took it to another level and made a short video titled "Cult of the Bell," an Animal Crossing and Cult of the Lamb crossover. It shows Isabelle playing the role of the Lamb, who has to tend to her villagers while gathering items to help her defeat the raccoon (Tom Nook) and release the godlike character known as "The Forsaken Resident." The video also includes horrifying versions of well-loved characters, like Blathers and Resetti, and revamped Animal Crossing mechanics in Cult of the Lamb's world.

  • Resetti: Shown as a final boss enemy that Isabelle has to beat in one area.

64 Bits' made rounds on social media, with many Animal Crossing and Cult of the Lamb fans praising the animation and saying that they'd instantly purchase the game if it existed. The official Cult of the Lamb Twitter account also shared the clip, saying that it is similar to Animal Crossing, but "more realistic since you can't buy a house."

Just like Animal Crossing, Cult of the Lamb has also built a strong following because of its exciting gameplay and updates, such as the Unholy Alliance local co-op feature. Developer Massive Monster has also continued entertaining its dedicated fans with Cult of the Lamb's hilarious and sometimes dark social media presence, and even a metal album inspired by the game.
