She defends that the possible audience for livestreaming is way smaller than pre-recorded videos, and most people working on these platforms simply cannot reach this kind of audience and make a really profitable career there. So, Amouranth believes that either Twitch needs to find ways to allow its creators to grow their total available market, or come up with a much better method for monetizing the content, as the current ones are failing.

This new wave of criticism happens soon after Amouranth joined Kick. The new Twitch competitor has only been online for around half a year, but it has been achieving a fairly good deal of success lately, and Amouranth is the latest star to enter the hyped new platform. At the moment, it’s still not clear how much money she was paid in her contract with Kick, though.

Amouranth’s move was likely inspired by the famous Twitch streamer xQc. XQc got a $70-100 million deal to go to Kick.
