Bethesda’s Starfield will launch on PC and Xbox consoles on September 6, and gamers will be able to get a free copy of the game bundled with an eligible Ryzen 7000 series processor as part of the chipmaker’s promotion. A microsite on Newegg titled “AMD Starfield Game Bundle Promotion Store,” has been made live, and it lists a range of Ryzen 7000 series CPUs that are seemingly part of the promotion, though AMD has not officially announced the bundle yet.

Bethesda has worked with AMD for its upcoming action RPG, Starfield, which implements technologies like FidelityFX Super Resolution 2 or FSR 2 and others. Because it is an AMD-sponsored title, those using Nvidia or Intel GPUs will not be able to use Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) or Xe Super Sampling (XeSS) respectively, though they can use FSR 2 to improve performance. However, this partnership presents an interesting opportunity for those looking to upgrade to a Ryzen 7000 series CPU or switch over to the red team.

The promotion page titled “AMD Starfield Game Bundle Promotion Store” is live on Newegg, and it lists multiple Ryzen 7000 series CPUs ranging from the $226 Ryzen 5 7600 all the way up to the $698 AMD Ryzen 9 7950X. However, there are no details available for the promotional bundle as of now which makes sense since AMD has not made any official announcement for it yet. The product pages do not mention the game as a bundle either.

Furthermore, Starfield is scheduled to launch on September 6 which means AMD has plenty of time to make the announcement about the promotional bundle. Notably, the game has already been delayed twice now. It was originally scheduled to launch on November 11, 2022 but was pushed to the first half of 2023 before being delayed a few more months to the current date of September 6.
