Sony announces a big price cut for the slim variant of the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition Console.
This time around, there's a more accessible sale going on, as anyone is currently free to grab PS Store gift cards at 10% off via Amazon. The ongoing sale encompasses all denominations of the vouchers, ranging from $10 to $250. The savings offered by the promotion hence range from $1 to $25 per card. This wave of discounts debuted in mid-November 2024, ahead of Amazon's Black Friday 2024 sale. There's currently no word on how long these deals will be live, but seeing how the newly discounted gift cards are all digital, there's no risk of Amazon running out of stock during the sale.

The voucher codes will be emailed to the buyer immediately following their purchase. Redeeming them is as simple as navigating to the PlayStation Store, clicking one's profile icon at the top of the screen, and selecting the "Redeem Code" option from the drop-down menu that pops up. The 12-digit voucher code should then be inputted on the following screen. The same menu is also available on PlayStation consoles by opening the PS Store, pressing the triangle button, then selecting "More" and "Redeem Code."
PS Store credits can be used toward buying games, DLC packs, and subscriptions. This includes game-specific memberships and Sony's own services, like PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium. As such, these newly discounted vouchers make for an easy gift for PlayStation console owners.
Since PS Store vouchers don't often go on sale, it's possible that this ongoing promotion is the final opportunity to grab them at a discount via Amazon in 2024. That notwithstanding, some related offers might still be on the cards before the end of the year. For example, the 2023 edition of Amazon's Black Friday sale allowed consumers to buy a $100 PS Store voucher and receive a complimentary $10 Amazon gift card for doing so.
