Originally revealed in 2020 and made available to a select group of people, Amazon Luna officially launched on March 1, 2022, in the United States, before expanding to the UK, Canada, and Germany. A cloud-based service, Amazon Luna offers subscribers an opportunity to stream a curated selection of games, with its library being divided into a few channels that each come with a unique monthly price.
Besides the channels, Amazon Luna also grants Prime subscribers access to a handful of free games per month; at the moment, four titles are usually the standard, although some temporary surprises might be included. Since Amazon Luna requires a stable internet connection to work, with 10 Mbps being the recommended speed, Prime owners can test the service using these titles before looking into the platform's channels. It also helps that Amazon Luna's free games for Prime lineup are generally pretty good.

Amazon Luna's free games with Prime lineup for May 2025 is celebrating Star Wars by offering three titles. While not necessarily the biggest or most recent releases, these projects are all fun in their own right, and one of them is an all-time great. Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga covers the first six movies, delivering one of the most enjoyable renditions of these classic and polarizing stories. Lego Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars is also a good extension to The Complete Saga. Star Wars Pinball is, naturally, a very different beast from the Lego games, but the concept is pretty much timeless.

Kojima Productions' Death Stranding will soon receive a sequel, with On the Beach debuting in June 2025 on the PS5. Most interested parties have probably already played through the original 2019 release, but newcomers who are tempted to step into this universe can give it a try through Amazon Luna's Prime May 2025 lineup. Set in a post-apocalyptic climate defined by solitude, Death Stranding offers a strange escape from reality that prioritizes movement, specifically walking. The game has a lot more going for it than just that, but the opening few hours are surprisingly simple (in terms of mechanics).
