Amanda the Adventurer is a short little horror game that takes place in a single room. Similar to an escape room, this creepy game has several puzzles, and many of these can be quite challenging.
In order to get through the whole game and see all five endings to Amanda the Adventurer, players will have to figure out how to interact with a colorful little robot friend named Blabbot. This robot has a keypad on its chest, but players will have to figure out what numbers to type in to get all the Blabbot's secrets.
How to Turn Blabbot On in Amanda the Adventurer
The Blabbot is the colorful robot found in the attic next to the couch. It is in front of the digital clock that players need to use to complete Amanda the Adventurer's Clock Puzzle. It is not powered up when players first enter the attic. When players walk around the robot, they can look at its back to find a panel that can be opened up. There are two important things to note inside this compartment: one is that the Blabbot is missing its batteries, and the other is a note that the Blabbot cannot get wet.
In order to get this little guy powered back up, players will need to unlock the toolbox. Located between the window and the shelf with the pots on it, the toolbox is a red box on the floor with a lock on it. The lock's passcode can be found in the Coloring Book puzzle, which occurs after players complete the Butcher Tape. The code for the toolbox is GUTS. Inside is a tape and a pair of scissors. Players should take the scissors and cut the doll's head off to find the batteries needed inside her neck. Players will want to make sure to get the red secret Amanda tape from the doll before cutting her head off.
How to Solve the First Blabbot Puzzle in Amanda the Adventurer
Now that Blabbot is on, players of this new indie game can complete the first puzzle. In the non-butcher version of the In Your Neighborhood Tape, they should pause the tape when inside the Corner Store looking at the cards. Above the cards, there is a price for Blabbot which players should type into the number pad before pressing the check mark. The first Blabbot code is 150325. If the TV is not paused on the In Your Neighborhood tape at this moment, the code will not work.
Once the code is typed in, a cake and a card will appear on the table in the middle of the room. Players should pick up the card to find a code inside, replace all of the candles with 1s (the number of candles on the cake), and then type this code into the Blabbot. The second Blabbot code is 081821. It will then display a cook time and temperature of 325 degrees for 30 minutes.
Players should put this time and temperature into the play oven. The door will open revealing another card and another candle.
Next, they'll have to put the candle on the cake and then pick up the card. This card has some equations inside it. If players replace all of the candle drawings with the number of candles on the cake (which is now 2), they'll find that the third Blabbot code is 835161.
As with the previous codes, they'll need to type this one into the Blabbot and then press the green check. Blabbot will then give players the notes to play Happy Birthday on the piano: CCDCFE.
Playing the song on the piano will give players of this cheap indie game another candle. Once it's added to the cake, the cake will melt, giving players another video.
How to Get the Key From Blabbot
After a series of other tapes, there is yet another puzzle from Blabbot in this itch.io puzzle game. After inputting the code from one of the home videos, Blabbot will say something about how what really matters is what's inside. The hint is inside the back of this indie game's robot: a warning that Blabbot can't get wet. In order to get inside the robot, players will need to splash it with water.
To accomplish this, players should take the bucket from the armoire, then fill it up with water from the dripping water near the TV. Next, they'll want to pick up the bucket and click it on the robot, which will make the Blabbot's head pop off. Inside, players of this quirky horror game will find a key, allowing them to get the final Amanda tape from inside the locked chest under the window.
