Zelda Echoes of Wisdom Gerudo Sanctum Dungeon Walkthrough Complete
Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom – Gerudo Sanctum Walkthrough

This guide to the Gerudo Sanctum dungeon in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom explains step-by-step how to complete this relatively complex dungeon.

You can only use Amiibo with Echoes of Wisdom three times each day, though this can be cheated by changing the System Clock time. Changing your Switch's clock time can be worth the hassle, though, because even if you use Echoes of Wisdom Amiibo before reaching the point when you can unlock Costumes with them, all Zelda Amiibo rewards still grant useful Smoothie and Monster materials with each scan.

These Echoes of Wisdom Amiibo rewards will not become available until you have completed the Hyrule Castle dungeon in the main story. Once Zelda changes clothes after completing Hyrule Castle, you will have unlocked the ability to unlock Amiibo costumes. Scanning Amiibo before this point will only yield Smoothie ingredients and Monster materials.

Blue Attire Costume

Zelda Echoes of Wisdom Amiibo Rewards Blue Attire

The Blue Attire is a costume that uses the same model as the Customary Attire costume, but instead of being practically pink all over, it's a blend of Zelda's colors in Breath of the Wild (blue) and Ocarina of Time (purple).

To get the Blue Attire costume, Echoes of Wisdom players must scan any Amiibo from the Zelda series that depicts Zelda herself. This includes:

  • The Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom, Wind Waker, and Smash Bros. Variants of Princess Zelda Amiibos
  • The Sheik Super Smash Bros. Amiibo (because, spoiler alert for Ocarina of Time fans, Sheik is Zelda)
  • The Zelda and Loftwing Amiibo from Skyward Sword

Red Tunic Costume

Zelda Echoes of Wisdom Amiibo Rewards Red Tunic

The Red Tunic costume is, like the Blue Attire costume, a variant of a costume that is available in the base game: the Green Tunic (Link's costume). This Red variant might be a callback to Four Swords Adventures, but it's more likely just a different option for the Green Tunic model for those who don't want to look too much like Link when he's not the main character.

Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom – Should You Go to Gerudo Desert or Jabul Waters First?

Whether you tackle Gerudo Desert or Jabul Waters first, both Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom areas are necessary to progress.

To get the Red Tunic costume, Echoes of Wisdom players must scan any Amiibo from the Zelda series that depicts Link. This includes:

  • The Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom, Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, Link's Awakening, Skyward Sword, and Smash Bros. Variants of Link himself
  • The Toon Link and Young Link Super Smash Bros. Amiibo
  • The Wolf Link Twilight Princess Amiibo
  • The Link Rider and Link Archer Amiibo
  • The 8-Bit Link special Amiibo

Black Cat Costume

Zelda Echoes of Wisdom Amiibo Rewards Black Cat Clothes

The Black Cat costume is unique in that it grants Zelda a special ability: the ability to speak with Cats. With this equipped Zelda will don a headband with black cat ears on it and a cat costume jumpsuit, complete with tail. In fact, right in Zelda's bedroom (which you will reach by the time you can unlock Zelda Amiibo costumes), there's a cat right there waiting to boast about its fine job at Security.

It's undeniably cute, and it actually serves a purpose, but it's not the only way to talk to cats in Echoes of Wisdom.

You can also unlock the regular Cat costume in Echoes of Wisdom without an Amiibo – complete the quest "Questioning The Local Cats" found in Kakariko Village to unlock it in-game. The Black Cat costume is a variant of the Cat costume, and both will grant you the ability to talk to cats.

Smoothie Ingredients & Materials

Source: All Zelda Series Amiibo

Zelda Echoes of Wisdom Amiibo Rewards Smoothie Ingredients

After getting all three costumes from the Echoes of Wisdom Amiibo rewards pool, or if you scan your Zelda series Amiibo before finishing Hyrule Castle, you will still gain other rewards. Scanning any Zelda Amiibo will give you a small hoard of ingredients to use for making Smoothies as well as Monster materials like Monster Stones, Fangs, and Guts.

Smoothie ingredients are randomized with each Amiibo scanned, and you can only do three Amiibo scans in a 24-hour period. If you scan three Amiibo to get the three unique Amiibo costumes in one day, you'll have to wait another day (or reset your Switch clock) to get Smoothie Ingredients.

It's worth doing every time you turn on Echoes of Wisdom because there's a chance that you will get high-level ingredients like Golden Eggs and materials like Monster Stones, which can be meddlesome to find in the game normally.
