Romance is one of the few things that RPG fans typically look for in the genre, and players looking for love in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 will be in for a pleasant (albeit somewhat disappointing) surprise. The game's cast of characters does feature people that players can get intimate with, but vampires aren't exactly the type to pursue romantic relations in the traditional sense.
There are 7 characters in Bloodlines 2 that serve as potential love interests for Phyre, and if you want to get on their good side, you'll have to choose your words carefully.
Should You Give Benny to Katsumi in Bloodlines 2?
Deciding Benny's fate is one of the many choices you'll need to make in Bloodlines 2. Here's what'll happen based on what you choose to do to him.
Is There Romance in Bloodlines 2?
Technically, yes, but if you're looking for an undead boyfriend or girlfriend in a traditional sense, the game doesn't have any options for those. At best, you'll become closer and more intimate with the characters in Bloodlines 2, but neither Phyre nor their love interest will slap a label on their relationship.
Relationships here culminate into romantic feeding, where Phyre and their love interest mutually feed on each other. Your chosen partner will also treat you more affectionately, but that's about it as far as romance in Bloodlines 2 is concerned.
All Romance Options in VTMB2
- Safia
- Silky
- Fletcher
- Patience
- Mrs. Thorn
- Onda
- Niko
Six of the romance options in Bloodlines 2 also serve as clan primogens, also known as clan contacts. They are high-ranking members of their respective clans in Bloodlines 2, and as you continue the story, you'll naturally run into them.
The only outlier here is Safia, a vampire researcher working directly under Prince Ryong at Weaver Tower. She's no primogen like the others, and out of all possible romance partners, she is the most affectionate. Safia is arguably the best character to romance in Bloodlines 2 because of her personality, dialogue, and significance in the story.
How to Romance Characters in Bloodlines 2
You won't be giving anyone gifts and watching relationship meters increase here. If you want to be romantically involved with someone, you'll have to flirt with them directly. Visit any one of them in their usual havens, and if you see a dialogue option with a kiss mark next to it, you can try your luck and see what happens.
All potential romance partners have different personalities, and if you fail to vibe with any of them, then you can forget about getting any closer to them. Choosing the wrong dialogue option or doing anything that would ruin your reputation with someone will likely lock you out of a possible romance route. With that being said, pay close attention to the character you're talking to, and try to match their personality.
For any of the six primogens, you need to flirt with them three times to reach a romantic feeding scene. More opportunities to flirt with them will appear as you progress through the Bloodlines 2 story.
Safia, for example, is a kind soul with a bleeding heart. She is a lot more human than the other vampires, and if you act with sympathy and compassion, she'll like you more than she already does, but your relationship with her will remain platonic, at best.
