Every Nightfarer in Elden Ring: Nightreign has a story to tell, and they're in the form of Remembrance quests. These are essentially flashbacks that let players experience the lost memories of the playable characters, and apart from getting to know more about them, these quests also give some unique rewards for each Nightfarer.
Remembrance quests are both simple yet confusing. Some are easy, while others are not so much. If you want to complete all Remembrance quests for each of the Nightreign characters, here's a guide that briefly goes over the objectives in each quest as well as the rewards you can expect from them.
Spoiler warning for character story endings and the final boss of Nightreign.
Elden Ring Nightreign: 8 Best Things To Do On Day 2
Day two is arguably the most critical part of Elden Ring Nightreign. Here's what players should be doing in this important period.
How to Unlock Remembrance Quests
Players can view available Remembrance quests by visiting the Journal in the Roundtable Hold. Either walk up to the Journal and interact with it manually, or open up the Shortcuts menu by pressing your map button.
The Journal contains lore entries for each of the Nightfarers, and some of these entries contain the playable Remembrance quests for the character you selected. The way Journal entries are unlocked is seemingly random, but the best way to unlock more entries (and thus, more Remembrance quests), is to simply play as that specific character. Once you receive a Memory Fragment during your Expedition, you'll unlock the next Journal entry for that character.
Remembrance quests are unlocked in sequential order, and they're usually one Journal chapter apart. To unlock all the quests, players will need to commit to playing one character at a time.
After an Expedition, check the prompts that appear on the lower-right side of the screen to see if you received a Memory Fragment.

The Wylder's Remembrance quest explores the background and origin of this character as well as his ties to the Priestess, the mysterious curator of the Roundtable Hold. It mainly involves you interacting with NPCs and fetching items for the Iron Menial: the first is a Whetstone in a marked mine in Limveld, while the other is a Silver Tear in Noklateo, one of the possible Shifting Earth events.
As for rewards, you'll get the following:
- Slate Whetstone: Enables follow-up attacks after using Wylder's Skill while using a greatsword. Also improves Physical Attack.
- Wylder's Chalice: Includes 1 Red, 1 Yellow, and 1 Flexible Relic Slot, which can hold a Relic of any color.
- Silver Tear: Using Wylder's Art greatly refills the Art gauge. Also increases Ultimate Art Gauge and Arcane by 3.
- Wylder's Earring: Wylder's Art spreads fire in an area when used, and Wylder's Skill gains an extra charge. You recover stamina with each successful attack.

The Guardian's Remembrance quest is more straightforward than Wylder's. Instead of fetching items, players will be looking for a Golem boss and a Merchant in Limveld. The locations of both will be marked on your map the next time you load into an Expedition, and all you have to do is beat the former and buy the Third Volume item from the latter.
Quest steps that take place inside the Roundtable Hold only require players to interact with NPCs. However, in the final quest, players will have to choose between forgiving or punishing the Recluse for her misdeeds. Depending on what you choose, you'll get a different reward.
Speaking of rewards, here's what they do:
- Stone Stake: Increases the duration of Guardian's Skill and reduces its cooldown.
- Guardian's Chalice: 1 Blue, 1 Yellow, 1 Flexible Relic Slot
- Third Volume: Charged attacks with halberds as Guardian create whirlwinds. Halberd attacks also restore HP.
- Witch's Relic/Cracked Witch's Relic: Guardian's Art slowly restores ally's health when active, and a portion of damage taken is reflected back when Ability (Enhanced Guard) is activated. Additionally increasees Vigor by 3.
The Witch's Relic and Cracked Witch's Relic have the same effect.

Raider's Remembrance Quests in Nightreign are unlike either of the ones above. Instead of having to go on Expeditions, Raider's quests will teleport players to a special arena where they have to duel with bosses. In between these fights, you'll need to speak to the Iron Menial and touch the monument at the Roundtable Hold. These quests might just be the easiest of the bunch, and they're the quickest to finish too.
For winning the gladiator battles, you'll get the following rewards:
- Torn Braided Cord: Taking damage while using Raider's Skill improves attack power and stamina. Additionally grants +3 Strength.
- Black Claw Necklace: Defeating enemies near Totem Stela (Raider's Ultimate Art) restores HP, and defeating enemies restore more of the Art gauge. Additionally grants +3 Poise.

Ironeye's Remembrance Quest is much simpler compared to the rest, but it is also one of the more difficult ones in the game, as it requires players to hunt a hostile Ironeye Phantom, the Darkdrift Knight boss, and the Heolstor the Nightlord. There's not much else to say here, so grab your bow and get to hunting.
Finishing these quests will give you the following:
- Ironeye's Chalice: 1 Red, 1 Green, and 1 Flexible Relic Slot
- Cracked Sealing Wax: Extends the duration of weak points applied by Ironeye, and performing Critical Hits earn you Runes.
- Edge of Order: Thrusting counterattacks are boosted after using Ironeye's Ultimate Art. Additionally, your starting weapon deals Holy damage, and you gain improved Bow Attack Power.
If you ever get lost during the Roundtable Hold segments, you can always refer to your map and look for the quest objectives there.

Executor's questline is a mix between Wylder's and Ironeye's. You'll need to collect items in Limveld and defeat the bosses that spawn. Thankfully, this questline does not involve defeating any of the Nightlords, so it should be easier to do alone compared to Ironeye's quests. As always, relevant objectives will be marked on your map by a red stamp.
This chain of Remembrance quests rewards you with the following:
- Blessed Flowers: Restore HP after parrying enough attacks with Executor's Skill. Additionally grants +3 Dexterity.
- Executor's Chalice: 1 Blue, 1 Yellow, 1 Flexible Relic Slot
- Golden Sprout: Roaring while Art is active restores HP. When your health is low, slowly regenerate HP for self and allies, and you gain HP whenever you successfully block an attack.

The Recluse's Remembrance quest involves two boss fights (including a fight against the final boss) and a decent bit of exploration within the Roundtable Hold. The story and lore implications here are mind-boggling, and they're best experienced personally.
As for rewards, you'll receive the following:
- Recluse's Chalice: 1 Yellow, 1 Green, and 1 Flexible Relic Slot
- Vestige of Night: Activate the Terra Magica spell when you collect affinity residue for Magic Cocktail. Additionally grants +2 Magical Attack Power.
- Bone-Like Stone: Activating Recluse's Ultimate Art raises max HP and increases attack power, but you suffer Blood Loss upon activation. Additionally increases Intelligence by 3.

Duchess' Remembrance quests are more exposition-heavy than the others. It further explores her relationship with Wylder while shedding some more light on Raider and Revenant as characters. Perhaps the hardest part of this questline is getting all the Memory Fragments as Duchess, as she's not exactly the easiest Nightfarer to use.
Completing these quests will net you the following:
- Golden Dew: Improves Duchess' Skill attack power and boosts the power of added affinity attacks (damage from added weapon affinities, e.g. Holy, Fire, Lightning, Magic damage)
- Crown Medal: A full Dagger combo with Duchess applies the effect of her Restage skill on her enemies. Additionally improves Dagger Attack Power.
- Blessed Iron Coin: Defeating enemies while Duchess' Art is active improves attack power. Additionally provides continuous HP recovery and +3 Vigor.

Revenant's Remembrance quest is similar to Raider's. Both will have players teleport to a location outside of Limveld where they have to fight some strong enemies. However, Revenant's story is a bit bleaker, and it paints a strong picture that explains why she acts the way she does. It's an interesting story that harkens back to the Painted Worlds of Dark Souls.
Completing Revenant's quests gives you the following:
- Small Makeup Brush: Increases your power while fighting alongside your summoned spirits. Additionally increases rune acquisition for you and allies.
- Revenant's Chalice: 1 Blue, 1 Green, and 1 Flexible Relic Slot
- Old Portrait: Using Revenant's Ultimate Art triggers a Ghostflame explosion, and she drains her health to fully heal allies. Additionally, defeating enemies will refill more of your Art gauge.
