The much-awaited Battlefield 6 is finally inching closer towards its global launch, and similar to the previous games in the series, it's offering a couple of different editions as well as pre-order rewards for fans who are eager to jump back into the fray.
Neither editions for the game offer any sort of advanced access to the full release version of Battlefield 6, though they do offer some nice cosmetics for players who are willing to shoulder an added cost or pay a bit earlier than usual. If you're wondering if the pre-order or Phantom Edition bonuses for BF6 are worth it, here's a guide detailing all the things you can expect to get from them.
Battlefield 6 Clears Up Open Beta Early Access Confusion
Battlefield 6 developers share additional clarification in regards to the Early Access portion of the game’s upcoming multiplayer Open Beta.
All Battlefield 6 Pre-Order Bonuses
As mentioned, there are no advanced access bonuses for players who pre-order BF6 ahead of its planned October launch, but it is worth noting that there are a handful of cosmetic rewards for anyone who participates in the Battlefield 6 Open Beta, which takes place on the following dates:
- August 7-8 (early beta access for EA Play Pro subscribers, Battlefield Labs registrants, and code holders)
- August 9-10
- August 14-17
Players who pre-order either of the editions of Battlefield 6 will instead receive the Tombstone Pack, which includes the following:
- Gravedigger Soldier Skin
- Bandolier Weapon Charm
- Tombstone XP Boost Set
- Hatchet Weapon Package
- Soldier Patch and Weapon Sticker
- Fallen Heroes Player Card
Battlefield 6 Phantom Edition Contents
The Phantom Edition offers players a suite of soldier, weapon, and vehicle cosmetics as well as access to the battle pass with 25 tier skips and exclusive content. For reference's sake, the individual items for this edition include:
- 4 Phantom Squad soldier skins
- Shrouded and Drop Shadow Weapon Packages
- Knife skin
- Stickers, patches, and a unique dogtag
- Chimera Vehicle Skin
- Phantom XP Boost Set
- Battlefield Pro Token (Battle Pass and Tier Skips with exclusive unlocks)
Again, pre-purchasing the Phantom Edition will also reward players with the Tombstone Pack.
Is Battlefield 6 Phantom Edition Worth Getting?
If you're a big fan of the Battlefield games, or if you simply want to look cooler than everyone else in the match, then getting the Phantom Edition will definitely be worth it. The cosmetics are great, but with the Phantom XP Booster and BF Pro Token, you'll also be able to unlock more content and cosmetics faster than everyone else.
Players who really want to progress their account as quickly as possible should also pre-ordering the Phantom Edition. There's no extra cost, and the added Tombstone XP Boost will make leveling much faster than normal. It's unclear if it will stack with the Phantom XP Boost, but even if it doesn't, you'll get to enjoy a longer period of bonus XP gains.
