Weekly Shonen Jump manga are often axed due to low interest from the fans. With some of the biggest Jump manga series having ended recently, more opportunities are being given to new manga series, as the magazine is at an all-time low, especially with big hits like Jujutsu Kaisen and My Hero Academia having concluded.

At the moment, only One Piece stands as a pillar for this magazine. But, new mangas with major potential emerge every once in a while, and one such manga that debuted only recently is known as Alien Headbutt. Alien Headbutt has just two chapters out at the moment, but it is already showing signs of being a new major hit for the magazine. The story has definitely captivated many, and fans can't wait to see how the plot progresses.

Alien Headbutt Is A New Shonen Hit

  • That Debuted On Feb 8, 2026
  • Alien Headbutt Has Two Chapters Out Right Now

Earlier in February, a new series made its debut for Weekly Shonen Jump, and is available for all fans globally to read on MagaPlus. This shounen manga series is known as Alien Headbutt. Alien Headbutt has just debuted this very month, on February 8, 2026. Its first chapter, titled "Closing Ball," is, as expected of a first chapter, quite long, and it gives fans a perfect introduction to this new story.

Alien Headbutt has two chapters out right now, with the latest one having been released on February 15, 2026. The story is definitely taking an interesting turn, and fans can stay caught up to it on Manga Plus where a simul release is taking place every week. Alien Headbutt has the potential to be the magazine's next hit series, but it must also be acknowledged that the series needs time to properly establish itself as a jump hit. At the same time, its fate also depends on how the plot progresses. For now, fans can read this series for free on Manga Plus, and it’s definitely worth a shot. Despite having just debuted, Alien Headbutt is a trending series on MangaPlus, with over 90k views, which is quite impressive for a new story.

Alien Headbutt Showcases Wrestler Versus Aliens

Alien stories are becoming the norm for Weekly Shonen Jump for one reason or another, with the likes of Dandadan, Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, and many more being featured there already, and now Alien Headbutt can be added to the mix as well. Alien Headbutt, by Akira Inui, follows the story of Shirokiba, who, ever since he was a kid, wished to become a famous pro wrestler and make his family proud. His family sacrificed a lot to allow him to pursue his dream. After earning a belt, Shirokiba would go on to make a return to his town, which is located on an island. However, something about this island now feels off. His island is far too calm, and the reason why immediately becomes clear: aliens have arrived on the island, and trouble is quickly brewing.

The humanoid aliens are quite strong. Shirokiba is able to defeat one, despite still taking a hit. What seems like a normal injury at first turns out to be far bigger as Shirokiba gets infected. While it doesn't seem to be a bad thing initially, its true repercussions are revealed later on, as Shirokiba ends up gaining a power-up that allows him to fight against the other aliens at the top of his abilities. Shirokiba learns that the people of the island are still alive but kept in alien cocoons, and that's easily a very exciting premise to start a story. Throwing exciting wrestling into it makes it somewhat unique and reminiscent of series like Kinniku Man. Undoubtedly, this series has a ton of potential, with an interesting story and some appealing action.

Fans Must Support Alien Headbutt If They Want The Story To Continue

Alien Headbutt Wrestler Versus Aliens

Alien Headbutt has found some popularity with just its first two manga chapters. However, it's important to note that the most dangerous time for a new manga is its first year. If readership is low, then Alien Headbutt will surely be axed by next year, and the author will have to create a rushed and unsatisfying ending.

To see Alien Headbutt continue, fans will have to be there to support it by reading it through official publishers like Manga Plus and buying volume releases. If Alien Headbot keeps up good viewership, then the manga will continue and could even get an anime adaptation. Alien Headbutt could someday, alongside the likes of Kagurabachi and Ichi the Witch, become one of the new pillars of the magazine.

Alien Headbutt chapter 3 is coming to Manga Plus soon and will be released on the platform on Sunday, February 22, 2026. Fans can read it for free on the app.
