There is a door inside Alan Wake 2's Wellness Center that is missing its knob, and while it is not mandatory that players open it, there is incentive to do so. More specifically, the Hunting Rifle is housed in the room that is beyond that door, and fans are advised to add that weapon to Saga's arsenal. This guide is here to assist with that endeavor, and details on the location of Alan Wake 2's Wellness Center door knob can be found in what follows.

Alan Wake 2: Door Knob Location

The first step toward obtaining the door knob is to use the computer in the Security Room to release the Wellness Center's security doorlock. The Security Room can be entered through the hallway with the knob-less door, and the computer's password is 170823. For those players that would like to know how that code was determined, this guide to Alan Wake 2's Wellness Center computer password has all the relevant details.

Once the computer has been used to release the security doorlock, players should make their way into Ward Reception and through the first set of automatic doors at its north end. Fans of survival horror video games should then use the wood door on the right to enter the Staff Lounge, turn right, and pass through the door that is ahead. Players will now find themselves in the reception desk area, and the Wellness Center door knob is in a box that is on the ground.

With the door knob in hand, players can pass back through the Security Room and use the item to enter the nearby Workshop. In this room, fans will find an open locker, and the Hunting Rifle is propped within it. After grabbing that Alan Wake 2 weapon, players can get back to working through the Return 5: Old Gods chapter, though they may want to interact with the Deer Head and Manuscript Page that are in the Workshop before they leave.

To note, while the Hunting Rifle is undoubtedly very powerful, especially when it has been upgraded, its ammunition does not always come easy. As such, players may only want to pull the weapon out when facing off against particularly difficult enemies in Alan Wake 2. Players are also advised to take their time when lining up shots with the Hunting Rifle, as missing a target, and wasting its bullets, can be quite painful.

Alan Wake 2 is available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
