There are 22 Cult Stashes in Alan Wake 2, and each one presents a puzzle for players to solve or a key for them to find. While it is certainly not mandatory that fans open every one of these containers, doing so will award a key that can be used to enter the Watery Lighthouse. For those players that are interested in obtaining that key, this guide contains details on how to find and open all the Cult Stashes in Alan Wake 2.

Before getting into those details, a few points of clarification may be worthwhile:

  2. Players will not be able to access all the Cult Stashes the first time that they are near them, and they will need to return to those containers after the area's flooding has dissipated or once they have claimed the Bolt Cutters.
  3. All the Cult Stashes can be added to the in-game map by interacting with the maps attached to the wall in the Kalevala Knights Workshop Breakroom.

  • Note: The Streamside Stash Key is on top of a rock at the location marked on the map that is above. There are yellow arrows painted on the tress, which can be revealed with the flashlight, that will lead players from the Cult Stash to the key.

  • Note: Follow the pattern that is presented by the lock to open this Cult Stash.

5. Rental Cabins Cult Stash (Lake Cabins Stash Key)

  • Note: The Lake Cabins Stash Key is at the base of a tree at the location marked on the map that is above. Here are the steps that players should take to reach it:
    • Go north from the Cult Stash and enter the second cabin on the right.
    • Exit through the cabin's east door and crouch under the tree to the north.
    • Pass through the cabin on the left and continue northward.
    • Turn on the flashlight after passing the pickup truck to locate a tree with a "2" painted on it.
