While AEW Fight Forever may lack the variety of WWE 2K23's tag team matches, the matches are arguably more fun, especially when playing with friends. There are more moves to execute in tandem, and players don't have to Irish whip an opponent into the corner just to hit a double-team move. The same extends to the finishers in AEW Fight Forever, but getting the positioning to pull these moves off can be tricky if players don't know what they are doing. Like everything else in this wrestling title, timing and positioning are everything to get the mechanics to work how players want them.

How To Use Tag Team Finishers In AEW Fight Forever

To set up a tag team finisher in an AEW Fight Forever match, it's better to choose a team like the Lucha Bros or The Young Bucks. Alternatively, players can create a new tag team in AEW Fight Forever. Use the following steps to set up a tag team finisher in the ring.

  • Create a 2-on-2 tag team match in the Exhibition menu.
  • Pick a tag team like the Lucha Bros.
  • Work the match and wear down both opponents. Going for a Tandem Finisher too early will only lead to frustration, as the opposing team members on the outside always jump in and interfere.
  • Ensure the player's AEW wrestlers attack both opponents with a signature to get their momentum into the blue or the danger zone.
  • With an opponent worn down, knock the second team member from the apron.
  • Hit the signature on the opponent in the ring. Then move the R stick or keyboard's directional buttons to initiate a Special.
  • Go for a pin, but break the pinfall with the RB on Xbox, R1 on PlayStation, R on Switch, or the R button on the keyboard. This will prompt the player's teammate to jump in the ring.
  • With the second teammate in the ring, wait from the prompt for a Tandem Finisher and move the R-stick or press the directional buttons on the keyboard.

How to Check A Tag Team's Finishers

Knowing a team's finishing moves before attempting a tag team finisher is essential. Use the following steps to access the finishers:

  • On the main screen, highlight and select Custom.
  • Highlight Team, then select Modify Team.
  • Pick a team, then AEW Fight Forever's MoveSet.
  • Then look at the team member's Tandem Finishers.

  • Take note of the Signature Position to get the player's team into position for the tag team finishing moves.

Knowing when and how to position the player's wrestler with the stored finisher is vital to executing successful finishing moves. Tag Team finishers are easier to pull off with a human partner, as the AI doesn't always play ball. They will also work in the Casino Battle Royale and four-way matches.

AEW Fight Forever is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
