Whether wrestlers perform for the WWE or AEW, fans often find their favorites add new moves to their repertoire. Whether it's new finishers and signature moves to coincide with a face or heel turn or a promotion change, fans will notice that they will update their movesets. Thankfully, AEW Fight Forever has added the ability to customize their favorite wrestler's moves in the game.
Better still, there is even a way to add alternate presets so players can switch between playstyles. For example, Adam Cole wouldn't use the low blow as his comeback move as a face. So players can create an alternate version in AEW Fight Forever. This guide will take players through customizing alternate movesets for their favorite AEW wrestlers.
How To Customize A Moveset In AEW Fight Forever
Players can customize and change their favorite AEW wrestler's moveset in AEW Fight Forever or customize their created character's attacks and moves. Let's take a look at the steps to change a wrestler's moves in AEW Fight Forever:
Change Original Moves
- On the main title screen, highlight and select Custom.
- On the Custom screen, select the Wrestler option.
- Select Modify Wrestler.
- Select the desired AEW wrestler.
- Highlight and select Original.
- Select Move-Set.
- In the new screen, players can change their favorite wrestler's signatures, finishers, taunts, Desperation Impulse/comeback moves, standing strikes, standing grapples, running attacks, diving moves, environmental attacks, tag team moves, and more.
Changing a Signature Or Finisher
Wrestlers like to change their finishers and signature moves. Luckily fans have a vast selection of moves players can choose from in AEW Fight Forever. To change the signature and finisher, use the following steps:
- In the Move-Set screen, select Signatures or Finishers.
- Wrestlers will have anything from one to five signature or finisher slots. Unfortunately, the number of signature slots can't be increased or decreased.
- For example, PAC has three signature slots to swap, so select one of the preset moves and choose a new signature or finisher from the list.
- Players can change an AEW wrestler's base moves and taunts using the same steps as above by selecting the moves and swapping them out.
Creating An Alternate Move Set In AEW Fight Forever
AEW Fight Forever lets players choose an alternate move set and have a second playing style for their favorite wrestlers. It's a better take on WWE 2K's idea of using multiple versions of the same wrestler. To create an alternate preset for a wrestler in AEW Fight Forever, use the following steps:
- Highlight and select Custom.
- Select Wrestler.
- Select Modify Wrestler.
- Pick the desired wrestler.
- Now select Modify Wrestler.
- In the Custom Wrestler screen, select Original.
- Use the above steps to change a wrestler's moves.
- Instead of finalizing, click the R-stick on the controller or the Space bar to create a new Temporary Preset. Players can delete it and revert to the original move set.
- Players can name the preset, back out, and then finalize it. They will now have a new preset for their wrestler's move list.
That's everything an AEW Fight Forever player needs to customize their favorite wrestler's moves and add an alternate temporary preset.
AEW Fight Forever is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
