AEW Fight Forever has a story-based career mode with branching story paths that primarily occur randomly. Players take their created or favorite wrestlers through a career and journey toward the AEW world championship or one of the other title belts. Unfortunately, once all the paths of the Road to Elite modes have been explored, there's not much left to do beyond a player's imagination.
Luckily, players online and locally do just that with fantasy matchups and one-off title shots. It also helps that AEW Fight Forever players can set up their title holders, whether they want one wrestler carrying all the belts or vary it up by featuring different champions to keep it fresh.
The Championships in AEW Fight Forever
AEW Fight Forever can customize its list of title holders. There are six AEW championship belts to assign or win:
- AEW World Championship
- AEW Women's World Championship
- AEW World Tag Team Championship
- TNT Championship
- TBS Championship
- FTW Championship
More championships from the televised product can be added over time, but six belts will keep players busy for a while. Male AEW wrestlers can hold a maximum of five championships, but female wrestlers can carry all six to the ring at a time.
How to Assign New Champions in AEW Fight Forever
Players can set up exhibitions to challenge for a belt or predetermine who the champions are in AEW Fight Forever. To customize which wrestlers can become title belt holders, use the following steps:
- On the main screen, press the Y button on Xbox, Triangle on PlayStation, the X button on the Switch, or click the settings cogwheel on a keyboard and mouse.
- Under Game Records, select the Championship Management option.
- Click on the desired championship and select Manage.
- Players can now pick a new wrestler to hold the title.
- For tag teams, players must select two partners for the belt.
- They can create a new tag team in AEW Fight Forever, select an established team or put a random pair of wrestlers together.
- Under AEW Tag Team Championship, players can select the Single or Team option.
- Single allows players to select a pairing of any two wrestlers.
- The Team option allows players to select an established team like The Young Bucks or the Lucha Brothers.
- Female wrestlers can hold all the belts, so players can have Britt Baker carrying all the titles to ring in their AEW entrances.
