All-Elite Wrestling has made its long-awaited debut on consoles everywhere with its first release, AEW: Fight Forever, now available on multiple consoles. The game takes a different approach to its competitor WWE 2K, opting to pay homage to the arcade-style wrestling games of old.

AEW: Fight Forever is a nostalgic title that doesn't take itself too seriously, with a number of great match types to have fan-favorite AEW stars participate in. One of the defining features of the title, which takes wrestling to extreme levels, is the plethora of weapons at the player's disposal. From classic weapons to witty and outrageous, these are the best of the 40 weapons players will find under the AEW ring.

10 Pizza Box

The most unexpected of weapons in AEW: Fight Forever is certainly one of the funniest. A pizza box under the ring certainly sets the tone of the game overall. This weapon is not likely to do any damage to foes, but it doesn't mean it won't be a popular option, especially if there's any pizza left.

It isn't certain what pizza toppings once called this box home, but wrestlers in AEW: Fight Forever can assert their dominance in the ring with a humiliating strike to the head with a greasy cardboard box. It may not spill any blood, but the pizza box could do some serious emotional damage to opponents.

9 Caution Sign

AEW: Fight Forever features hilarious weapons among their damage-dealers, as well as some ironic ones. Players can make sure their opponents read the fine print by battering them with the warning sign under the ring.

The caution sign won't cause any memorable injuries, but they certainly serve a comic purpose, particularly as players can mount the sign over their opponent's head. It is a prime example of how AEW: Fight Forever manages to incorporate devastating weapons with ones that are there purely to serve a comedic purpose.

8 Car Tire

Another weapon that serves a comic purpose more than a damaging one, a car tire is available as a playable weapon in the game. It is a great tool for smacking opponents around, but also looks great as a makeshift hat.

Players can put the care tire over their opponent's head, which makes for a humorous fashion accessory. While they are incapacitated by the tire, it is the perfect time for players to deliver more damage to their compromised foes.

7 American Football Helmet

Designed to provide American football players with adequate protection, the football helmet in AEW: Fight Forever certainly doesn't do its job in the game. This round, hard plastic weapon has the potential to cause a concussion and then some, making it an ideal offensive tool.

In what appears to be a gesture of good faith, players can fit the American football helmet on their opponents. However, this serves more to incapacitate than it does to protect. Nonetheless, it is an act of kindness to ensure opponents have the right equipment before their next beat down.

6 Thumbtacks

Hardcore legends like the great Mick Foley will take the scars of their brutal matches to their grave, and a lot of small ones will have come from the unforgiving little pins that found themselves buried in his back. In AEW: Fight Forever, hardcore fans can relive the gruesome experiences of some of their favorite daredevils with thumbtacks.

Players can cover the ring mat with the contents of a hefty bag of thumbtacks. These in turn can be used as a weapon by slamming or dragging their opponents through them. Players will need to be careful though, as this strategy could backfire with the tacks laying on mutual ground.

5 Barbed Wire Baseball Bat

It is very rare these days to see barbed wire in a wrestling match, and rightfully so. The wire is razor-sharp and can tear through flesh like a knife through butter. Naturally, its place in wrestling seems to be in the history books...except for AEW stars.

Combining razor-sharp wire with a blunt weapon, the barbed wire baseball bat is without question the most gruesome weapon in AEW: Fight Forever. Using this on an opponent will easily cause them to bleed, and even in an arcade game setting, it is tough to watch. It is also available as a broom for players to sweep the floor with their competition.

4 Fire Extinguisher

The fire extinguisher was a fairly popular weapon in the "glory days" of wrestling in the late 90s-early 2000s, with one generally making an appearance every month or so. In AEW: Fight Forever, this safety equipment can be brought out regularly to do the exact opposite of what it is designed to do.

The fire extinguisher is the only weapon in AEW: Fight Forever that players can "shoot," more or less. As a multi-functional tool of destruction, players can choose to clobber their opponents over the head with the tank or envelop them in its gaseous contents. While it can be used to douse a burning table, it's more likely to be used to knock out fellow competitors.

3 Table

A staple underneath the ring of any reputable wrestling event, the table has made or broken careers as much as it has been broken during a match. While this weapon is among the best in its natural, devastating glory, it's the additional feature in AEW: Fight Forever that makes these particular tables stand out.

With the tap of a button, players can turn the standard wooden table into a flaming career-ender. In an action that has rarely been seen in real-life wrestling, players can set the table on fire and slam their opponents into the inferno. The tables are unforgiving, so players need to make sure they don't end up the ones thrown into the fire.

2 Skateboard

AEW fans have their superstar Darby Allin to thank for the inclusion of this weapon. If players search hard enough, they will find a skateboard under the ring just begging to be used. Whether channeling their inner Tony Hawk or just looking to deliver some blunt force trauma, the skateboard is one of the more versatile weapons in the game.

Unlike other weapons, the skateboard can be used for more than one purpose. When they are not smacking opponents over the head with it, players can actually ride the skateboard in the ring and around the arena. The result doesn't always look smooth or glamorous, but it is certainly entertaining.

1 Propane Tank

Leaning heavily on the arcade angle of AEW: Fight Forever, players have access to an explosive weapon. This is not an exaggeration, the propane tank in the game will literally explode when thrown, causing damage to any in its way.

The propane tank does not operate like the other standard weapons in AEW: Fight Forever. Since it does its damage from a distance, players will need to measure their approach and make sure to get a clean space to throw the tank into. Failure to do so may result in players getting a taste of their own medicine.

AEW Fight Forever is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
