Adin Ross confirms he spent up to $5,000 on an early copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, but he can't play it. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is set to release on October 25, and players who get their hands on an early copy won't get much further than Call of Duty HQ.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was revealed during Summer Game Fest 2024; since then, new details have been revealed. These include two Zombies maps that were shown off, the new version of Nuketown, Mastery Camos, the Prestige system, and more. Treyarch ran a beta test phase in September, allowing many fans to try the game before its release. During the beta, players were able to try the new arsenal of weapons and explore the game's multiplayer maps, and some discovered Black Ops 6 cheaters who circumvented its anti-cheat. Since the beta was released, players have been eager to play the full game, but Adin Ross ran into a hiccup with an early copy of the game.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 mastery camos
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Has Mastery Camos for All 3 Game Modes

Treyarch reveals that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will have multiple mastery camos for the game's main three modes, including Warzone.

The Dexerto Twitter account recently shared a video from Adin Ross' Kick livestream in which he discusses an early copy of Black Ops 6 that he bought. In the video, Adin Ross holds up a PS5 copy of the game and tells his fans that it's pointless to get it early this year. According to Ross, an early copy of the game will merely load Call of Duty HQ rather than the Black Ops 6 menus that players could access during the beta. Even if the popular Kick streamer was able to load the game modes, it's unlikely that many people would be playing it ahead of its release. In the clip, Ross confirms that he'll stream Black Ops 6 gameplay once the servers are live.

Adin Ross Spent Thousands on Black Ops 6 for PS5

It's unclear where Adin Ross acquired his early copy of Black Ops 6, but he claims to have spent between $4,000 and $5,000 on it. While Ross suggests that he was scammed, the person who sold the PS5 game may not have known it was unplayable. It's likely that the disc at least permitted Adin Ross to download the game early, but the game may have a day one patch on release day. Because players can install the game by pre-ordering a legitimate copy of the game digitally or by subscribing to Xbox Game Pass, this isn't a significant reason to secure an early copy.

Treyarch has seemingly disabled the Black Ops 6 multiplayer that was accessible during the beta with a patch. As Treyarch will continue patching Black Ops 6 in the future, it's likely that new content will be added post-launch like in recent Call of Duty installments.

Forced to go rogue. Hunted from within. This is Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.

Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.

The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.

In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.

Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.
