From finding it in certain loot containers to mining coal veins underground, there are a few different ways that players can stockpile lots of coal. Where To Find Coal In 7 Days To Die
Coal can be found in many different places. If you aren't interested in mining, then you'll often find coal inside containers like ovens and barbecues. While you aren't likely to get a lot of coal from loot containers, you may get just enough to help you get by.
You can also find coal being sold by traders every once in a while. If you have some Dukes saved up, you can purchase the coal and save yourself the hassle of finding it out in the world.
That said, the best place to find coal outside of mining is the Burnt Forest biome. This biome has plenty of coal tied up in trees. If you head there and start chopping down trees, you'll get a few pieces of coal from each tree. Since you get wood, too, chopping down trees in the Burnt Forest is a nice way to gather both coal and wood at the same time.
How To Mine Coal In 7 Days To Die
Mining is by far the most efficient way of getting lots of coal fast. To find coal, open up your map and zoom in; you'll see different colored blocks everywhere., and each color represents a different resource.

Head to any black dot to find a coal vein. While coal can be found in most biomes, the Pine Forest biome is the easiest location to mine in because the zombies that spawn in this area by default aren't too challenging. You can also pay a visit to the Bear-N-Land Coal Mining Factory located in the desert biome. While there are a few enemies inside the mine, there are several rich coal deposits that you can mine here, too.
7 Days to Die: How to Craft and Repair Items
Repairing items can help the players save valuable resources in 7 Days to Die, and here's how to make those repairs happen.
When you reach a coal deposit, there will be one node sticking up above the ground; mine it and then mine down. The node will branch off into a rich vein that tends to branch off in several directions.
You can make mining coal more efficient by using the miner's armor set, investing in Miner 69'er and Mother Lode, and by reading Tools Digest magazines and The Art of Mining book set. You can also consume some Rock Busters to further increase the amount of coal you get while mining.
As you progress through the game, you'll begin finding and crafting better tools to aid with mining. While most players aim for the auger, it's often better to use a steel pickaxe. A steel pickaxe doesn't require fuel to use, making it much cheaper to maintain than the auger.
