In 7 Days to Die, the Building Blocks are the foundational framework that players must use to build their bases. The blocks will effectively serve as the foundation and walls of the fortress, protecting it from zombies and other attackers.
The game includes several kinds of building blocks, beginning with the basic one made of clay and progressing to numerous additional types. Each tier of the upgrade increases the building block's durability, guaranteeing that the players have a secure place for survival in this post-apocalyptic open-world game.
7 Days to Die: How to Use Land Claim Block
Land Claim Block has several functions in 7 Days to Die, and this guide explains how to use this structure.
How to Upgrade Building Blocks
Building Blocks may be upgraded using specific tools and materials necessary for that level of block. The tools that can upgrade blocks are Stone Axe, Taza's Stone Axe, Claw Hammer, and Nailgun. Once you've gathered enough resources to upgrade the blocks, equip one of these tools and click the right mouse button on the block you wish to upgrade.
As of writing this guide, the Building Block can be upgraded to four levels, which are:
- Wooden Block by using Wood.
- Cobblestone Block by using Cobblestone Rocks.
- Concrete Block by using Concrete Mix.
- Steel Block by using Forged Steel.
The wooden and cobblestone blocks are the first kinds of blocks you come across early in the game. After deciding on the layout for your base, it is advised that you begin building your structure with wooden blocks, which can then be upgraded to cobblestone blocks after the building phase is complete.
This is because cobblestone blocks are significantly more difficult to destroy; hence, removing or moving a block from the building will need a lot of work.
The required resources for each tier of the building block are:
- Upgrading the Building Block to a Wood Block requires 8 Wood.
- Upgrading the Wood Block to a Cobblestone Block requires 10 Cobblestone Rocks.
- Upgrading the Cobblestone Block to a Concrete Block requires 10 Concrete Mix.
- Upgrading the Concrete Block to Steel Blocks requires 10 Forged Steel.
This is the cost of upgrading a single block; thus, if you intend to update numerous blocks at once, it is recommended that you have a large inventory of the right materials before you begin upgrading.
Apart from upgrading the building block, players can also craft their preferred block directly. However, by simply crafting the necessary blocks, you will miss out on obtaining XPs to level up your character faster. This is because XPs are only available for upgrading blocks, not for building and placing them directly.
