7 Days To Die: The Best Perks, Ranked

Picking the right perks will not only make playing 7 Days To Die a lot less stressful, but much more rewarding.

One of the very first things the player will need to find is a cooking pot. Without a cooking pot, players can't cook food or purify water. Getting a working campfire up and running early is key to surviving the first couple of days. This guide will go through all there is to know about getting a cooking pot in 7 Days To Die.

Where To Find Cooking Pots In 7 Days To Die

A Cooking Pot Inside A Cabinet

Normally, it is fairly easy to find a cooking pot on day 1. While it does require a little bit of luck, there are certain places that have a very good chance of spawning a cooking pot. Kitchens are naturally the best places to find cooking pots. There's a chance of finding one inside ovens and kitchen cabinets. There's also a chance to find a cooking pot sitting out in the open on a kitchen worktop.

It is possible to find cooking pots in other locations, but kitchens in regular houses are the best place to look early on. While you can also find cooking pots in apartment buildings and any business that has a kitchen, these areas are normally pretty heavily infested with zombies. If you have just started the game, then it's best to stick to raiding small homes.

How To Buy A Cooking Pot In 7 Days To Die

Buying A Cooking Pot From A Trader

If you aren't having any luck finding a cooking pot in an abandoned home, then you may be able to purchase one from a trader. While there is no guarantee of finding one, the chances of any given trader selling a cooking pot are pretty high.

Dukes may seem hard to come by in the early stages, but if you focus on doing missions for the traders, then you should be able to afford a cooking pot after completing a mission or two. When selecting a mission, for an extra chance at getting a cooking pot, select a clear zombie mission or a fetch mission. When you reach the mission area, you will need to interact with the rally point to start the mission.

Instead of starting the mission straight away, head inside, clear out the zombies, and loot the interior. Then, when you have taken all there is to take, head back outside and activate the rally point. This will reset all the loot inside the objective building. Not only does this mean that you'll walk away with double the amount of loot, but it also increases the chances of you finding a cooking pot while scavenging.
